Please contact ADP for a product demo and ask about a hands-on "test drive" of Workforce Now.
I have exited 3 PEOs now and brought my business to ADP in house. My experience is with TriNet's PEO, Paychex's PEO and ADP Workforce Now. ADP beats both TriNet PEO and Paychex PEO as I couldn't wait to exit from TriNet and Paychex. Workforce Now will eventually be in a …
We selected ADP due to its value and included capabilities. I find it to be very similar to the majority of the major payroll providers and in hindsight [I] am not sure this is the route we [should] have gone. If you have a robust HR/Payroll team, I think the product is fine, …
UKG offered services we really liked. Both ADP and UKG are expensive and decided to stick with ADP for now as moving HRIS systems is a big task and each system comes with its own set of challenges.
Although I didn't select ADP Workforce Now for our company, I can say that it stacks up a lot better than other systems I've used or evaluated in the past. The payroll module is user-friendly and very intuitive. It didn't take my team very long at all to get the process down …
We were looking at these vendors as options to change from ADP. They are still on a mainframe structure, while most competitors are on a cloud-based system.
WFN offers a much friendlier user experience. Workday was a "pretty" system but did not offer near the functionality that WFN does. When completing a task in WFN, the steps are logical. If you did not know how to complete a task, the system is set up in a way that a few good …
VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, LEGAL AND CORPORATE COMMUNICATION
Chose ADP Workforce Now
This system is far better than its competitors in the market space. It has greater functionality, stronger integration capabilities and it is priced lower than the competition. We have used UltiPro and Paycom in the past and have found that ADP Workforce Now is easier for our …
There are some similarities between the two systems, but I will have to say that ADP is a much better system. The report writing is much better in ADP, along with the actual processing of payroll is easier and more user-friendly. The batching process is a lot better than UltiP…
UtiliPro was an amazing system that gave you a one-stop-shop, the only issue with them was their tax services. They did not have issues with Regular Pay being over-road with other earnings in their "batches" and they also allowed you to use the back where you entered your own …
I think they are about the same, although UltiPro is more user-friendly. We stayed with ADP Workforce Now because of the discounts. I do feel that if we continue to add products to the ADP platform (and ADP continues to add costs to each product/access), the cost will equalize …
I used UltiPro at my last job, and I wouldn't even consider them with my new company. Ultimate Time Keeping and Core System don't "talk" to one another, although they are within the same system. That led to PTO never calculating correctly for hourly employees. That system might …
Many of these products are similar in functionality, but the UI is different. I think Workforce Now's UI is easy to use both for system admins and product users.
I had used UltiPro for about 9 years and when I came here they already had ADP Workforce Now for 1 of the 3 companies. I liked ADP so I implemented it across the other 2 companies. As mentioned previously, I like UltiPro's payroll process/flow better (i.e. edit checks directly …
The payroll feature in ADP is better than UltiPro or Paycom. In UltiPro, you are unable to set up batches before you process the payroll. You have to run the payroll first and then go and enter the changes. I hated this as I had to hold on to manual one time changes until …
After using other payroll/HRIS products, this one outshines them all. I feel it accomplishes this because it is much more than a payroll system, but an entire platform for all encompassing HR needs.
Compared to the other systems I have worked with, ADP Workforce Now is the clear winner. It is very easy to customize and integrate into the processes of our company. Also, it is more user-friendly and aesthetically more pleasing to the eye.
ADP Workforce Now has a smoother flow of data and information across the system and between their customer service helplines that when I used Paychex. At my last company we were implementing UltiPro, which seemed to be a more robust system than ADP WFN, but the implementation …
ADP Smart Compliance is slightly superior as it provides easily accessible information on our tax documents, payments, etc Visually, ADP Workforce Now is inferior. UKG is more user-friendly to employees. People strategy is old.
Reporting is very different in UKG Pro vs ADP Workforce Now. In ADP you can make your own reports and there is lots of personalization, UKG has great standard reports, but you have no good option for making your own reports. Also, Org Chart viewing is much better in ADP …
I didn't select UKG Pro at this company. That decision was made prior to my joining. However, I have had the opportunity to evaluate UKG Pro next to ADP Workforce Now, and I opted to go with ADP Workforce Now. The reasons for that decision boiled down to the level of control …
ADP has the ability to pull in anonymized salary data for various industries to help companies with benchmarking and reporting. UKG should have the same ability to do that since it has payroll and salary data and job information from various companies. Also some simplified …
I was not a decision maker in our switch from ADP. I do know that pricing may have been a factor. I do think they both have pros/cons that HR had to take in consideration when switching. I know that it is not an easy thing to switch your software so their reasoning also …
UltiPro blows away the competition as it is so much easier to use and integrated. It is much easier to customize reports in UltiPro vs the other systems we have tried and reviewed. In addition, the data is easier to find. I would not switch back for any reason at all.
UKG has a more user-friendly reporting tool (Cognos) than Workday and ADP. I appreciate the ease of getting reports on the fly without security limitations. Self Service is a key factor for our employees as UKG is easy to navigate through the system and is much more …
UKG Pro offers almost everything we need and integrates well between modules and with external vendors. It is for the most part extremely intuitive and easy to use both as a user and administrator. Being able to report on almost all data fields in the system is extremely …
When it comes to service and support, there is no comparison between UKG, Ceridian, ADP, Workday or other HCM vendors out there. The support that we have received over the previous three years has been the best I've ever experienced in my 15+ years of working in human resources …
UKG is much more comprehensive and technologically advanced. All of the components speak to each other, rather than having to enter duplicate information.
UKG was able to meet our needs and allow us to add modules if wanted. Core is much more robust. Very simple to integrate with out time keeping system. More bang for the buck.
UKG Pro won hands-down. The flexibility, the family feel of the partnership, the customer support model, the reporting, the scalability, and the custom-programming needs of company-specific items were all much better than the competitors. The cost comparison also came in either …
The customer service and the product/services. ADP was never able to fix anything and it took multiple days sometimes weeks to get back to us on issues. Paycom wasn’t but the platform definitely wasn’t as robust as UKG.
I did not make the choice to implement UKG Pro, I was just hiring on into the company when it was being implemented. I did not like the customer service with ADP, it was all dependent on who you were able to talk to in the pool, and if you called back and talked to someone …
I did not select UKG ProUKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro). I was hired during the implementation process. I process payroll. I do not make those types of business decisions. I preferred ADP's Smart Compliance compared to UKG's tax filing service. ADP is the …
I was not with with my current employer when UltiPro was implemented. This product was chosen because of the different HR tools it offered aside from just payroll. However, some of the modules that we expected to work better for us have lack of functionality needed for our …
UKG had all the modules we were looking for, was highly configurable, and looked like it could grow with our business. Did not realize how much of the heavy lifting was needed on our part for implementation and ongoing. UKG does have its quirks and some workarounds are needed …
UKG offers the same, and mostly better, services in the majority of the areas that we "graded" for our company's needs: recruiting, time and attendance, payroll, reporting, manager self-service, employee self-service, benefits administration, personnel requisitions, …
UKG had greater customer support, better functionality, more reporting options, offered onboarding, improved analytics of workforce, and more opportunity to automate systems.
ADP Workforce Now may work for some organizations, but it doesn't provide us with what we need due to the complexity of our organization, but we try to work with what we have. We always have issues, but there is a lack of customer service support. We assigned a rep which we rarely ever hear from.
I've really only had positive experiences with UKG Pro. Most recently we completed an import for salary changes but the data file contained information that should not have been imported and UKG was immediately on it to help us remove the job history record from those who weren't supposed to receive an increase
The Benefits Services Team has provided seamless integration between our employees and their benefits selections upon hire, as well as annual enrollment for all employees. It has saved me untold hours in not only communicating with all of my benefit partners but also in invoice reconciliation and life event changes.
The recruitment and job requisition has been an absolute game-changer for our company. We launched a career center on our website that integrates from the platform, and allows us to attract talent at a much higher level. It also integrates with the top job posting sites for maximum exposure. All communications with candidates are tracked and saved on the system, and I love that the templates are customizable.
ADP is excellent at payroll processing. This seems basic, however, there is so much flexibility built into their system. We have had to process one-time checks, make corrections to previous checks, revise end-of-year W2's and the payroll team is always there to help and guide us through the solutions.
Customer service (Because the product offering is so vast it's extremely difficult to find the right subject matter expert who can actually answer your questions.)
Dependent and beneficiary options are limited (should include more than just spouse & child).
Would be nice if the onboarding allowed for the digital signature of documents (such as an employee handbook).
Due to the lack of support from the sales and service center we are looking at other options outside of ADP. Again it is a good system, it just lacks the support it deserves from the company employees. It is just unimaginable that you will need to reach out to a service provider several times for the same issue and not get it resolved.
We are overall happy with UltiPro and it works well for our organization and we have plans to expand our usage of it even more so we will definitely be continuing with the product. We are thinking of adding the functionality for training and recruiting as well, which is an add-on product
Global HR management and payroll processing is a complex area. That said, ADP is going a great job with the software platform. Users do need to come into this work with knowledge of what the outcome should be, how the input affects output, how one item affects other items, and more. This is not an area for an entry clerk to be working. Customer service has really ramped up in effectiveness. Cross training so one representative can assist without multiple transfers, has been a big improvement. The online support platform allows for creating a case, following progress and constant communication. Choosing an 8 rating leaves room for the major and exciting changes that are in progress. We look forward to what is rolled out soon based on the ever present feedback from users
Mobile App: Really easy to use and its nice to have an HR software that actually has an mobile application to be able to enter time and to take care of everything with. Web App: The system is relatively easy to use with maybe a little training at the beginning if you have used another system. But the site is really easy to use and a lot better having everything under one roof
I've found Ultipro to be completely reliable. Outages are typically planned to occur on weekends and only once did I have connections issues connecting Citrix to the server where our environment was housed, but within the hour connection was restored. I think that's a pretty good track record, considering I've used the suite daily for over three years. Especially when processing payroll--say the internet goes down in the middle of you performing a task... Ultipro is able to recognize that a connection error occurred and quickly restores the process that was running, avoiding lost productivity.
Overall, I think the functionality of the program works pretty well. Sometimes, certain browsers do not work well for the policy function of ADP, but that is the only issue thus far
Normally UKG Pro loads quickly. We had been having major issues with reports running in a timely manner but recently they broke out our virtual server to another instance where is wasn't sharing resources and that seems to have helped reporting run more efficiently.
Support can take a few days to get back to you sometimes. I often hear they are "unsure" and have to ask someone else. Usually, by the time they get back to me, I have found the answer on the Bridge or on my own.
Support is quick to respond and helpful when you don't understand how to use or implement their response. They are great at following up and checking in as well as escalating cases when they are more urgent and need more attention.
In-person training was pretty good - I think this significantly depends on the trainer. Our trainer was really good and showed what ADP can do - but I know that all trainers are not the same - and this truly makes such as difference. Overall, our training went pretty well.
I've been to a few in-person (hands on) training sessions and it is very similar to the online classes. You have the same reference material to look back on after the training. So regardless of in person training or online you really get the same thing.
At the time training was not as expansive as it is now. If it could go wrong it did for me so the process was difficult and lengthy. I needed to have more in person walkthroughs of things to ensure the transition was done correctly. Not sure what else I can say, we were part of the initial move to Workforce Now when it was introduced.
I love that it's free and flexible. Some of it could have a little more hands-on and have trainers that can answer different scenarios. If the trainer has not been a user, they may not always be able to relate. In most cases they do a great job at answering questions.
Either assign more than one specialist to the implementation process, or assign less clients to the implementation specialist. The process requires attention to detail and the ability to test and re-test as well as verify the information. It also requires a lot of back and forth between the client ant the implementation specialist, so they need to be readily available during the whole implementation process.
Make sure you have all of your tax account information with all the states you are registered in available and that you are knowledgeable about the filing status, frequency, etc. We had some unique challenges with our state unemployment tax set up that I was not aware of and needed to be addressed prior to going live. Working with the state unemployment office can be a challenge.
ADP Workforce Now is simply way more user friendly than Paylocity, with a much simpler and more modern looking UI, for both users and Admins. Paylocity's interface was just way too complicated and old looking, for that alone we decide to go with ADP Workforce Now to avoid having to deal with employee confusion an poor onboarding.
UKG Pro won hands-down. The flexibility, the family feel of the partnership, the customer support model, the reporting, the scalability, and the custom-programming needs of company-specific items were all much better than the competitors. The cost comparison also came in either close to or less than the others so the cost/benefit FAR outweighed the competitors.
It handles very well with very sensitive data of a company especially of employees. Even provides HR services regarding recruitment services like recruitment, providing notification, even handles increment cycle of employee, any awards achieved by employees. All of this services are handled by them in very efficient way.
Connection to benefit providers and the passage of data on a weekly basis is great, once the carriers are connected properly
Communication to the retirement provider was presented as immediate and we were led to believe communication and updates would be faster and smoother than we experienced with Paychex, and the communication is virtually the same. We have a much better employer rep with ADP retirement though, and for that, I have saved several hours over time.
