Bluebeam Revu is a widely accessible tool for the construction industry, enabling users to transform paper-based workflows to electronic formats. It has been widely adopted by project managers, estimators, safety managers, and accounting staff for various purposes such as takeoffs, markups, form building, electronic signatures, and stamp approvals. Users have found Bluebeam Revu to be a user-friendly tool for tasks like takeoff quantities, PDF manipulation, detail markups, phasing plans, invoice billing, change orders, and creating illustrations for presentations. The software's markup tools are highly valued for expediting the design process and building punch lists from site visits. Additionally, Bluebeam's Studio feature facilitates real-time collaboration and markups on the same document by multiple users, preventing duplication of work. Overall, Bluebeam Revu addresses the business problem of communicating issues using visual aids and provides a centralized location for updating and maintaining construction documents.

Efficiency in Batch Processes: Several users have praised Bluebeam Revu for its efficiency in batch processes, saving significant time compared to manual alternatives. This has been highlighted by reviewers who found the software to be a powerful tool for streamlining tasks and improving productivity.

Seamless Collaboration with Bluebeam Studio: Many reviewers have commended Bluebeam Revu's cloud-based collaboration feature, Bluebeam Studio, for its ease of use and effectiveness in facilitating collaboration among team members. Aligning text with specific areas on a form using the typewriter tool can be frustrating for some users.

Users recommend reaching out to other users and utilizing the support team for tricks and tips. Bluebeam has more capabilities than both PlanGrid and Acrobat when using it to review and edit PDFs. It is not as intuitive to use as either since it does provide more abilities to markup files. It is not as easy to load and share files as PlanGrid, but it does provide access to shared common files. The learning curve is steeper than PlanGrid, which may be an issue when dealing with field crew.

We feel there is not another program out there that would compare to Bluebeam at this current time. Some of the other programs out there do not include studio or the overlaying process which is one of our main uses. The ease of hyperlinking makes this product stand out the most.

Bluebeam Revu is a far better product than Adobe Acrobat for what I need to use it for. There are so many tools that Revu offers that I haven't seen in Acrobat. From marking up, adding images, renumbering pages, sharing PDFs, adding hyperlinks to drawings, measuring - it is hard to compare the two products because Revu is so much better.

We used Adobe Acrobat prior to switching to Bluebeam Revu. We've found Bluebeam Revu to do everything that Acrobat could do and much, much more. And surprisingly, for a more reasonable price. Once we were exposed to Bluebeam Revu, it was a no-brainer to make it our standard.

We also leverage Bluebeam Studio Sessions and Projects for collaboration to the extent that they have essentially replaced our need for services like Dropbox, Box, or FTP sites.

I see no purpose to check out alternative programs. It would take company policy to get me to use a different pdf viewer. I went from Adobe Pro or Adobe X to Bluebeam Revu and never looked back. Maybe I did not know how to use all of the functions of Adobe, but that is Adobe's fault for not putting the functions in a very user friendly setting.

Bluebeam Revu is much more tailored for drafting than Acrobat (the last time I used it in an office), so it caters to architectural markup and review very gratuitously. Tools are quick to find and essential markup symbols are not missing. As a PDF viewer, Bluebeam Revu is much more intuitive and creates no difficulty in dealing with Adobe PDF prints.

I don't really know of alternatives. Adobe has PDF reader and some features, but I've only used Bluebeam Revu for drawing sets, dimensioning plans, etc. I use Bluebeam Revu mostly because it's what my companies have provided to me, but if I were to have my own business someday, I don't think I'd consider other programs. Bluebeams Revu meets almost all of my needs.

It is a great software and would be excellent if every project could be billed by the hour. Unfortunately all projects are the lowest bid and there just is never any time to review the documents on a regular basis. We tend to progress thru word of the mouth on a daily basis and review the documents before they go out for bidding. Manually redlining the plots cost virtually nothing and that is the comfort zone of most managers nowadays.
