Best Db out there - IBM Db2
- Easy to learn, install and query - great support. IBM is extremely good in support whenever you have any type of questions. You will find no issues on learning the language and installing.
- Amazing performance on big queries : Never had issues on performance and we have a big chunk of data to pull.
- UI : the UI can be improved to a great extent. Ideally we would want to see the UI/UX to match with latest trends.
- Limitation to a 15TB database size for any edition below than ES for on-prem. I am sure Cloud solves it, but falls in the same range as others (sometimes higher), making it maybe not the first one to go to.
- Positive : We have relied on this Db for more than 5 years (I have been relying for 3 years) and we were extremely comfortable to say that we surely got a high ROI.
- Positive : Maintenance teams have mentioned many times that IBM is more cost-effective than Oracle when it comes to maintaining the DB.
