Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention is the product which are using for our data protection and so far we are very pleased that it is working as expected to our satification. There was no need of rethinking about usage of this product because it has passed in every activity that it has promised. Its detecting, scanning, monitoring, filtering and reports, etc. All the activities are very reliable and efficient. Moreover it is very easy to use from an admin's point of view.

Within the corporate world, the DLP has made its space by providing the best comprehensive protection using one solution to safeguard all sensitive data. The intelligent detection system have been productive by managing the number of policies and controlling them accordingly, It prevents the unauthorized access and sharing within the device across various services and applications.

Since moving from Google Workspace and DropBox to MS365 with Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention, we now have a single interface and console for administrering and monitoring DLP policies and compliance across communications, file sharing and file storage which is considerably more efficient than using multiple tools from multiple vendors. This of course assumes that your are using SharePoint and ONeDrive as your sole file repositories and you aren't in need of additional DLP functions for things like on prem storage or 3rd party cloud systems.

Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention being a part of and XDR solution much more in-depth logging, activity timeline and hence a better incident management and response experience. A fantastic addition and a great advantage of other DLP solutions for Purview DLP is the ability to also cover cloud resources like storage accounts and databases for sensitive data discovery. The ease of authoring DLP policies is much less complex than other DLP solutions both programmatically and manually.

Our biggest benefit from this platform is visibility across the entire M365 tenant for data identification and protection. I can see sensitive data stored in OneDrive, Exchange, Sharepoint, etc., without needing to view them all independently.

We weren't using any other DLP before this but during the market research it came up best as it was the cheapest solution with this level of features. The implementation was the easiest with zero agents, automatic ingestion of data from O365 Apps and a single pane management controller / dashboard.

We have being using DLP since 2018 and Microsoft Purview DLP is exactly what we need for now. it helps with the integrations into Intunes, all the office apps, including word, excel, sharepoint, onedrive, etc. we are still working on to improve it to securely protect our data and email

The main benefits which we got from the implementation of Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention were:
1. Information classification and labeling. This helped us to identify and label sensitive information which needs to be protected
2. Blocking sharing of sensitive information. Based on the sensitivity of the information the intentional and unintentional sharing of such information was blocked.
