Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention

I'd like to have it expand to be more than just the Microsoft tenant environment. So to have some sort of connections out to data stores that are external to the Microsoft world.

POVs and POCs

There is always a scope of improvement in every product. i am sure Microsoft must be working on this. I would like to see Machine Learning operations in this as it will simplify most of things. Cost of the product can be revised as well. Although it fulfills everything it promises but cost can still be less.

This tool is convenient and cost-effective regarding safety, data encryption-preventions, Device control, etc. In the future, it may be possible to replace multiple tools and use them as a single all-in-one as it features device access control and content-aware protection by scanning the data and ensuring compliance with regulations like PCI DSS and HIPAA.

Microsoft does offer paid enhancements but the price/feature ratio is skewed towards large enterprise organizations. If there was scalable integration with more 3rd party solutions (eg. AWS cloud storage, other 3rd party conferencing apps like Slack/Zoom, onsite repositories or secure FTP/SecNas) that would give us the ability to handle our entire orgs DLP from a single interface.

I'd definitely like to see website Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention feature coming in because it is something that many of the DLP providers are already providing. Microsoft can very easily support this at least for Edge and Chrome (it being a managed app in Intune, makes this a possibility) to start with and then maybe expanding to other browsers.

I hope that MS works on their UIs. I think that they purposefully make them more difficult to use so that they're not the default that everyone uses, but it sucks that you have to know what you're doing to effectively utilize their platforms.

not at the top of my head as it already fulfills all major requirement an organization might have from a DLP solution.

I am hoping that the solution will be able to talk to 3rd party applications (Gmail, Yahoo, etc). It would make it easier to see to possibility block an individual from sending out PHI to their personal email. This was give an IT department to security protect information from leaking out

The solution is too comprehensive. It can be made somewhat simpler.

Integration with Third-Party Ecosystems, Customization and Policy Flexibility

Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention needs to make it easier to use. It's a mess.
