Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Oracle CRM would be suitable for Small and Medium Enterprises which can run with not so extensive features, and limited pricing as compared to Salesforce CRM. There are a few limitations with the features that are available with Oracle CRM as compared to Salesforce CRM. If the underlying ERP used is Oracle 11i or R12, then the CRM seamlessly integrates with the ERP, and thus gives better user experience.

Excellent for a multi-national enterprise, with several companies and/or business units, with intercompany-eliminations. Companies should have a certain level of organization, with the same maturity in procedures; on the contrary, it can be extremely inefficient for companies with procedures full of “exceptions”.

Licensing, implementation and supporting costs might be very prohibitive for small companies.

I will recommend for sure. Maybe I am biased since I have worked in Oracle/Java in my entire professional career. It is suited for small/medium/big companies. But, many big clients (EMC, VMware) went with SAP after years of using Oracle. That's the mentality the top management gets in most places. They start disliking Oracle. It could be because of 'endless patches' and maintenance, bugs that they need to deal with frequently. In this cloud era, everyone wants reports and metrics in very elegant manner in very quick way. Standard ERP doesn't provide that kind of report.

Oracle EBS Overview

As with most ERP solutions, Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) requires users be given multiple responsibilities based upon job role. From a security perspective, Segregation of Duties (SOD) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) conflicts can be extremely difficult to resolve for smaller sites where employees wear multiple hats.

There are 3 key factors that need to be taken into consideration if Oracle eBusiness wants to be implemented:
1) Is your company "big enough" to have Oracle eBusiness suite implemented?
2) How many IT and Business analysts do you need to keep this "car" up and running smoothest as possible.
3) How much will be my annual fees for licenses and support? There are other companies that can provide support on Oracle eBusiness suite (outside Oracle Inc.)? Are these companies reliable? Do they have specialized knowledge?
3) Have you in place a Change Management process in order to control the functional/technical changes that will happen on the application?

Oracle 11.5.10 CRM is a great tool and database, but it has flexibility limitations, mostly in its GUI. For extremely standardized or infrequent use, this is the tool to use, as its data validation and basic setup is perfect for what Oracle considers to be "best practices."
I would still recommend Oracle 11.5.10 otherwise, as well, but if speed or conditional information were necessary, I would recommend interfacing with a web GUI to allow for a more streamlined and purposeful front-end.
A close relationship also should be considered between service operations and IT to ensure that service exceptions are maintained in a timely and organized fashion.

Per my experience, the key questions when considering a product like Oracle eBusiness Suite would be:

  1. Do I truly need a full-fledged enterprise resource planning (ERP) system?
  2. Does my business operate across different geographies/countries?
  3. Is my organization willing to invest a considerable amount of time (up to a year during initial setup) and resources in setting up Oracle eBusiness Suite, especially when there are multiple modules involved?
  4. Am I willing to hire and maintain staff that will provide the ability for me to customize Oracle eBusiness Suite as dictated by changing business requirements and market conditions?
  5. Am I willing to continuously upgrade Oracle eBusiness Suite as major updates come from Oracle? This is important since Oracle tends to de-support older versions eventually.
  6. Am I willing to maintain a yearly support license since this provides the best value for making use of Oracle eBusiness Suite?
  7. As business expands and/or mergers/acquisitions happen, am I willing take on the implementation tasks that come up with incorporating a new entity onto my existing eBusiness Suite system?

Oracle E-Business Suite Procurement Contracts is well suited for creating various contract templates based on whether or not you are doing construction work, non-construction work, lease and rentals, engineering services or I.T. services.

You can build a set of questions to help guide your users to select the appropriate template or clause but we elected not to go that route.

Oracle eBusiness Suite is well suited to larger mid-size and large companies. Even taking the no customization approach EBS is complex and needs lots of expertise from business analysts to implement and support. How large an IT organization will be needed to support EBS, DBAs, developers, business analysts, super-users, system administrators, plus managers? What other applications will be needed for integration, tax calculation, shipping, transportation and customs and excise, HR and CRM?

It saves a lot of time when looking up personal employment choices in regards to benefits, current tax staus info, and payment status without having to call our human resources department, or waiting for a pay stub to be received in the mail.

Oracle E-Business Suite applications help customers manage the complexities of global business environments regardless of whether the organization is small, medium, or large in size. Oracle application modules seamlessly integrate with each other and, based on needs, customers can choose to implement the modules they need for their business. Oracle E-Business Suite applications will continue to be enhanced against industry standard processes that eliminate the need for customizations hence making the upgrades less time-consuming and increasing ROI.
