  • We stopped using the REQ/PO features directly within PeopleSoft and went with an integrated UI front end - the previous PeopleSoft resulted in many complaints from our end users. For example, before the tiles came around, there was too much clicking and navigating took too long as opposed to being easily available. Our end users often say, "It's not like Amazon."
  • Having multiple systems also creates confusion and negative impact on our end users - having a more streamlined system that is user-friendly would be great.

  • Positive is the centralized means to order and request purchases throughout the organization.
  • Negative is the ordering department typically has less control over delivery, and unless requested does not have a means to track shipment or learn of potential delays.
  • When ordering through eProcurement you are at the mercy for processing speed of a the purchasing or controlling department. Some 24 hours sales or discount codes often go to waste due to the time the request is submitted and goes to purchase.

  • PeopleSoft ePro has signficantly reduced the amount of purchasing department effort in coordinating special orders, placing orders directly with vendors through punchout and allowing a quality front end to the business units for submission of requisitions
  • The Approval framework is robust and has allowed for a streamlined and consistent approval process across the entire organization
  • The significant investment in the implementation of ePro has paid off over time by vastly improved user experience, however this is due to the long timeframe that we have had ePro implemented. If we had a lesser length of time this may not have been worthwhile but for our organization it has been.

  • I feel that it is streamlined and makes placing orders easy.
  • All connected orders to budget. Helps me keep track of spending.

  • It has helped with purchasing audits as the workflow ads a solid measure of validation with defined approval paths in addition having the ability to add reviewers and approvers on the fly.
  • It might be nice if the query tool was a bit more end user friendly as you do have to have a basic understanding of how tables can be joined as well as some basic SQL fundamentals.
  • Application data maintenance would be easier if it were set up correctly in the beginning. Having consulting resources that were not very well versed in the workflow function in PeopleSoft has caused added effort with some data changes.
