Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Pros
- We are able to put in goals and objectives to stay organized.
- We are able to pull up previous goals and reviews to see if we are still on track or falling behind.
- It provides a safe platform for personal questions, goal aspirations, or concerns with your manager if you are not able to find time to sit down in person.
Cons
- Our company had a hard time transitioning from the old paper path (via MS office). Maybe a more thorough training would have helped everyone transition easier.
- For some of my colleagues goals, they stated that they needed to retype the same information in multiple steps which made their goals take much longer than normal.
- Making the dashboard a little more user friendly (e.g. larger icons, pictures, etc.) for easier navigation would be handy for a lot of my colleagues, as they are older and aren't as computer savvy.
Return on Investment
- I think overall, the ROI is positive because it is saving a lot of time for managers with several employees. It cut down our review time to half compared to our old process.
- Negatively, it has caused our employees to spend a lot more time trying to adjust to the layout, therefore causing them to spend more time on the platform compared to the old way. This should improve over time.
- We have had better archiving for our reviews and goals which is engaging the managers more with their employees.
