Delivra, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Emma, Pardot and Marketo

ActiveCampaign has advanced automation features, but lacks advanced design, layout and testing features. ActiveCampaign has a great interface for creating new automations and forms to get them up and running quickly, but the design of the automated emails that goes out has many features that are lacking. Delivra's drag'n'drop designer is by far one of the best I've seen.

ActiveCampaign is well suited for small business who have a focus on sending simple, basic email automations. With incredibly limited design capabilities, it is not well suited for companies who want a rich email aesthetic. It doesn't allow for the addition of custom web fonts, background images, content grouping, toggling between mobile and desktop view in the design builder, or a light mode, dark mode option in the design builder.
