Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
We utilize most of the WFN platforms. Time keeping/time off of hourly employees - which managers are responsible for approval. Full HR functionality of which I manage benefits through open enrollment and new hires. I process the payroll and maintain the database and provide any company information to the platform as well as mobile announcements. Almost all employees and managers are using the system daily.
Pros
- Time Keeping is easy, functional and accurate. Love the integration directly into the payroll.
- I house ALL benefit documents into the FORM LIBRARY and use this instead of a INTRANET. It is way more convenient for the employees to have one portal.
- I love that employees can enroll into benefits through their portal instead of the "paper" process we were doing before using WFN.
Cons
- Hiring knowledgeable employees that KNOW the system well.
- Training employees to understand the functionality of new products BEFORE it is advertised would be helpful.
- Having accessible training material for ADMINS that are easy to locate .
- Helped increase proficiency especially with extracting data needed to provide timely and accurate reports when needed quickly.
- I have been able to use much less paper and ink and store data electronically now which is a cost savings and peace of mind that the data is accessible quickly.
- I see how this platform could actually eliminate the need for an extra employee needed because one person can now do more with the functionality of a good system .
- Some companies may have a hard time seeing the ROI because of sticker shock. However what they fail to understand is all the other cost "savings" they will see after the system is properly implemented. I am not sure companies are using all the platforms to their advantage which could leave them feeling like the cost is too high and the learning curve is too long.
Our HR team has saved 1-25 hours per month. - Since it is just myself doing all the payroll and HR work, I can tell how much more efficient I am using the system. Employees can now go get any piece of information they need by logging into their portal. This cuts down on the time I was spending on talking to employees and providing or exchanging data needed to keep accurate records. All I do now is approve requests for changes made by the employee verses me changing information constantly.
Kronos has a HUGE learning curve. Basically I had to BUILD out the workflows before I could implement. ADP already has the shell built so it is much easier to just customize your work flow instead of building it from scratch. I appreciate the ease of ADP. I felt like I needed an IT degree to use Kronos. I also did not have any professional help with learning how to use the Kronos system other than an out dated manual which was well over 1000 pages and it never had great detail of how to carry out a function from beginning to end. ADP provides support that I can make a phone call that is quick and most of the time I get the help I need fast.
