Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ADP Workforce Now for HR, payroll, e-time, benefits, and keeping electronic employee files. Using ADP Workforce Now for payroll and e-time makes our jobs a lot easier because we can always access employee timecards and then easily import them when it's time to run the payroll. The payroll module makes sure that taxes and proper deductions are always coming out. Benefits and carrier connections have truly made my life easier because I enter it once into ADP Workforce Now and then the data is EDI sent to the correct carrier, so I don't need to enter the same data on multiple websites.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Customer Service - I can always get someone on the phone
Calculating taxes - I don't need to manually calculate state and federal tax

Cons

I would like it if better communication was sent out about new product updates. Sometimes, I go into a screen and things are different and I have to relearn it on the fly.
Editing the mobile app - I would like it if what is shown on the desktop version was automatically on the app. WAY more of my employees use the app, but I put the most important information on the desktop version because it is easier to update.

Return on Investment

Some of the add-on modules could cost less. Being a municipality, we would LOVE to have more but are often budget restricted.

Scalability

Mainly HR is the one department using this, and our organization does not really grow. However, giving managers access to use and approve timecards has been wonderful.

Enhanced time

Carrier Connections is pretty easy. The implementation of e-time was about 6 months long, but extremely well worth it! We had it in place by November 2019, just a few months before the world shut down, and it was a LIFE SAVIOR!

Alternatives Considered

I've never used anything else personally. However, I have seen certain Kronos products and can 100% see why ADP Workforce Now is superior. It is 100% customizable and adaptable to suit your needs. A lot of other products are not this way and you kind of have to work with what you are given. Also, being able to call, email, or use the support center for issues/questions are all great options depending on your current needs.

9/10 In my experience, every now and then I get someone on the phone who either 1. I cannot understand or 2. they clearly do not know how to fix the issue. While that's fine, as not everyone knows how to do everything, however, instead of saying that, sometimes they will spin their gears for an hour before going to a supervisor. I don't always have that kind of time, so it can be frustrating.

Likelihood to Recommend

Every module we have added over the years has made my job easier, which leaves more time to focus on other aspects of my job.
