Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use ADP Workforce Now for all our payroll processing. We use it for payroll, payroll tax return preparation, and PTO tracking. We have two payroll frequencies. Workforce Now helps with PTO tracking and payroll tax return preparation.
  • Direct deposit - We do not have to worry if the deposits will hit our employees accounts on time. We once didn't get payroll out until the day before, and all deposits hit on time.
  • App - our employees love using the app to schedule PTO and look at pay stubs.
  • EE self service - Employees are able to update direct deposit and tax withholdings on their own. This takes the responsibility off the payroll department.
  • Payroll tax return availability - these should post a few days after the quarter ends not the month after.
  • Ability to make corrections - I have to call each time to have ADP help. These need to be more user friendly.
  • Gross ups for W-2s - These are not user friendly to enter. It even took ADP multiple tries to get ours set up correctly for personal use of the company car. I had to tell the rep exactly how it needs to pull to the W2.
  • EE self service has freed up time for accounting dept.
  • EE self service has shifted the responsibility to the employee.
  • Cumbersome to initially set up. Took more time than projected.
We have multiple locations and departments. We are able to set up and run reports based on these parameters.

We have not had large growth to experience the scalability.
We had outgrown Intuit and a few additional features (EE self service, PTO scheduling, new hire setup) that Workforce provided.

Do you think ADP Workforce Now delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ADP Workforce Now's feature set?

Yes

Did ADP Workforce Now live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of ADP Workforce Now go as expected?

No

Would you buy ADP Workforce Now again?

Yes

I call support way more than I anticipated I would. I would say there's a 50/50 chance of reaching a support rep who can resolve the issue on teh first call and in a quick manner. Also, only 50/50 chance of reaching a rep who is not only fluent in English but who understands payroll terminology.
I have to reach out to support way more than I like. Things are not intuitive to use.
To justify the cost, the company needs to have at least 50 employees and some complexity. If everyone is on salary, Intuit would probably be a cheaper way to go that would give you the same results.
