Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
ADP Workforce Now has been and will continue to be an asset as it has the ability to scale and grow with our company. We use the system are our HRIS, payroll, time keeping, performance reviews, housing employee documents, recruiting, customized onboarding, and more. Something that ADP was able to address for our company, is the ability to have two sibling companies housed in our ADP account. Employees of each company are able to have their own branded experience and access to ADP Workforce Now, while allowing payroll, time keeping, and benefits to be run in the same place on the backend.
Pros
- Integrate different information modules, which limited the need to enter information in multiple places.
- ADP Workforce Now is pretty intuitive for our managers, very little training was needed when we moved to ADP.
- ADP actually listens to product feedback. I have had several instances where I saw ADP make a change that I had submitted feedback about, and also times where ADP reached out in response to feedback to get further insight into my experience.
Cons
- Having more capability built into the talent pool and recruitment module. I will say that I was on a call with ADP to get insights about improvements they are working on in this area.
- Creating the ability for employees to submit time card edits to their manager for approval. Currently, if the system catches that there was a punch missed it will prompt the employee to make a correction - or example if the first punch an employee made was Out for lunch, the and the system will assume that there is a missing In to start work punch. However, if the system didn't catch that there might be an error - employees can't submit a correction for approval. Right now the only other options is to allow an employee to make an edits without any approval.
- More capability when it comes to sending out documents that require employee electronic signatures - such as filter to select who to send the document to, the ability to easily pull a report to see who still needs to sign the document, and a way to send out a reminder Only to the people who haven't signed. Right now you can send out documents, but have to manually follow up/sent reminders.
- Simplified / Improved reports. While ADP is known for their reporting, it sometimes can be difficult to find a report that contains the information you want, or when creating a customer report, there are so many options it can be difficult to quickly get the information you are looking for.
- It has increased the ease of onboarding employees
- It has made some administrative functions easier for front and mid managers
- COBRA - HealthEquity Wage Works
- Medical Benefits - United HealthCare
- Dental and Vision Benefits - Mutual of Omaha
The integration process was fairly easy, although it did take a longer time than expected. I will also point out that some integrations will not be available if you have a less than 50 employees or still fit into that small company category.
- Paycom and Paychex Flex
Our company was with Paycom and while it was very customizable - it required a lot of manual entry / management - often in multiple places within the system. Paycom did not offer the ability to easily scale that we were looking for - they also did not have a clean solution for brother/sister or parent/subsidiary company organization. When searching for a new system we looked into Paychex and found it to be very similar to Paycom. While ADP Workforce Now is not perfect, it does add value - particularly in having a monthly payroll fee, vs a fee for each payroll run (like we had at Paycom). It is a good system and they are continually trying to improve it.
