Overall Satisfaction with AnyDesk
We use AnyDesk to connect to client machines on demand but attended for quick remote support requests. These requests usually involve troubleshooting Windows or application error messages, training, or demonstrating features in new software releases that we provide. Many clients will not grant us unattended permission to view or control their machines, so AnyDesk is a nice fit for that scenario.
Pros
- Easy to provide instructions to a client on how to download, install, and use.
- Small RAM footprint for those machines that are running low on RAM.
- Easy to transfer files.
Cons
- We experience more connection timeouts and disconnects with AD than with other screensharing products.
- I've occasionally experienced crashes that are only resolved by reinstalling the software.
- Load time on initial connection is often slow.
- We can quickly provide on-demand screensharing and remote control support to solve client problems.
- We no longer need to travel to clients' sites to do routine training tasks.
- We've had good luck using this product on several different ISP connections and feed confident providing support when we're not in our home office.
