Overall Satisfaction with Asana

Asana is used by almost [all] of the teams in our org. Every team can have their own workspace with different projects and sprints and as a user, you can be a part of multiple workspaces to collaborate on a variety of projects with other teams. We have company-wide workspaces too, it's very convenient.
  • Contol over how worskpaces/projects/teams are built.
  • Easy, intuitive UI.
  • Cute little animations to celebrate the task completion.
  • Notifications can be made more configurable. I do want to get notifications for tasks shared with me, but not any tasks in my workspace.
  • Can be a bit laggy when trying to move multiple tasks. (I often need to move 5+ tasks to another project and can't select a section of a project from the menu.)
  • Needs more short educational blurbs (video/text) Even though I appreciate customer support offering personalized training, sometimes I do not have time for it.
  • Project management.
  • Timeline.
  • Remote.
  • Makes team collaboration easy in the remote world and saves us time. (No more infinite project meetings.)
  • [Helps] stay on track with goals to hit them.
  • Preventing delays on customer projects [means you] don't lose a customer. :)
I used Wrike a few years ago. It was just okey, less configurable, harder to navigate than Asana. Maybe they improved their user experience over the years. I have also used Jira Software (not being on a development team) to structure projects and work sprints. This tool was great, easy to configure for admin [teams] and it has tons of analytics.

Do you think Asana delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Asana's feature set?

Yes

Did Asana live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Asana go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Asana again?

Yes

It's pretty good, very intuitive, and easy to configure for any team's needs. [It's a] good system if you want to use it for the entire company. For development teams, a tool like Jira probably would be more useful, but Asana can also do the trick too if configured right. [Asana] for sure [has] way better user/admin experience than Wrike.
