Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We utilize Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT as our primary Donor Management System at St. Joan Antida High School. Since converting to NXT in 2020, this system has made our gift processing, reports, and donor moves management processes a lot more efficient. We especially love the ease of use in reporting and benchmarking data. NXT has also been a wonderful tool in helping us to clean our database to have much more accurate donor data and contact information.

  • Bring more of the functions currently only in the Database view into the Web view (i.e., the ability to edit gifts and to run queries).

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT has enabled us to track relationship development and insights in a much more effective way than our old system. The ease of use in pulling reports (and seeing point-in-time results) with benchmarking data from other similar nonprofits on the platform has been incredibly useful in setting department goals and metrics.
  • Online Training
Training could be improved. The pre-recorded webinars are just ok - the online classes were suitable - the one-on-one online training was by far the best and most effective. For advanced users, the "canned" training and videos are too basic and don't go deep enough into content areas. It is also tricky to find classes that were not full and could fit well into your schedule.
Blackbaud is a best-in-class system...they have been doing this longer than the competition and only work with nonprofits (unlike Salesforce, which has a more general use for various industries). Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT was easy to use, has the functionality to do a lot more than the competition, and came with both web-based options and the traditional RE module ...all back to the cloud online.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is well suited for fundraising shops of all sizes - large and small. Blackbaud has done an excellent job in scaling down the complexities of its Raiser's Edge tool into a much more user-friendly web-based version with NXT. For less established fundraising shops (or newer nonprofits), NXT would not be a fit as it is geared towards much more seasoned and established fundraising programs with a robust donor pool. It would simply be too big of a donor management system for brand-new shops.
