Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

Working from home and from different locations other than the office is more common each day, so having a tool to help connect people on the go was crucial. This is particularly import to connect with external stakeholders as not all companies have access to a video chat or a call through webex or teams.
  • Local and international calls through the computer
  • Quick access to join webex/teams calls
  • Tool is user friendly
  • Voice mail sometimes got stuck
  • The tool may have overlap between tools like teams or webex, so selecting the right users is key to ensuring a good ROI and not just having it for everybody
  • The tool helps us avoid roaming service when traveling abroad, so big savings on that front
The tool is widely adopted, being used across the whole company, with some users with more activity than others, mainly those that have to work with teams in other countries or locations, but overall with a high uptake given the hybrid working model that has been adopted for years now.
  • Microsoft Office
The idea is to integrate office to enable easier share of your screen and live collaboration
I'd prefer Cisco vs. other tools depending on the scenario, it is user friendly, very easy to navigate and to set up, and helps us connect with stakeholders who only have a landline. This is a unique feature that I haven't seen elsewhere in other apps in the market. It also has different features that I haven't seen in others like the ability to pause sharing your screen.

Do you think Webex App delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Webex App's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex App live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Webex App go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex App again?

Yes

As
digital transformation came into the company, we went from everybody having a
phone to having soft phones installed in our computers. I didn't feel much
difference until working from home became more common and even as I started to
travel abroad, then having access to my phone right from my computer through an
internet connection became a big plus. The tool has been particularly useful when connecting with companies or stakeholders that only have a landline to contact them.

Cisco Hybrid Work

Hybrid work has been in place for a few years, since there is a lot of collaboration across countries and functional teams that do not seat in the same location. The pandemic did bring an evolution to the hybrid environment, to better integrate virtual team members with on-site meetings and rooms. Training sessions from our IT team and having local champions that support the implementation have been key initiatives to boost the implementation, also community of practices and blog-like posts to share tips and tricks to improve usage of tools.
Getting colleagues and stakeholders to know about all the available tools was the harder piece in the process, that cultural shift to make people feel interested in the new tools that support hybrid work is challenging, which is why local champions and community of practice was key in the process.
Having different tools within WebEx that enabled collaboration was key, tools like a whiteboard to get everybody's ideas, take control of somebody else's laptop was key to collaborate on a file or project, record meetings for people that weren't able to join the meeting, among others. These features embodied what hybrid collaboration looked like.
There are no physical barriers that would prevent teams to having a great collaboration and strong business results. Personally, WebEx has been one of my favorite tools when thinking of a hybrid work model, it allows me to work as if I was sitting with a co-worker side by side
I've used other services to support hybrid work, but for one I appreciate the security of data WebEx offers, I feel save sharing my screen or files via the tool; the app is very user friendly and has useful and well thought of features, I particularly like the feature of "pause sharing your screen", which allows me to keep sharing my screen while still working behind the curtains, which I haven't seen in others.

Cisco Webex Experience

Slide is great to make team meetings or broader training sessions with large groups, to make it more engaging and involving people, testing their knowledge, maybe a friendly competition to spark their interest, get an audience opinion when having external meetings, etc. It has a lot of use cases where it truly adds value. All of this, partnered with WebEx to enable a hybrid space makes it even better, not having to press any buttons in controllers in the room, but rather having people simply join via their phones.
The app truly addresses our security needs, from making sure what's being shared is only visible to people admitted in the meeting room or directly invited. I particularly find helpful that only one person is assigned as the host, or selected people are, but not everybody can un-mute, share screen, admit people in the room, etc. I find it helpful to have the ability to accept or reject people from the room, or having a beeping sound when a person joins/drops the call.
Audio quality is one of the key features for me. We use headphones that can be optimized for the app, but what the app itself does in terms of noise supression, voice recogniztion versus noise is amazing and enables better and more focused meetings, spending time talking about business objectives rather than "can you hear me?" conversation for the first minutes of each meeting.
