Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

We used Jabber & Webex to communicate internally and reach other co-workers. It helped us communicate via one platform and easily reach one another, especially with a hybrid workplace. It was used by all employees in our organization, with the ability to reach any associate at any time.
  • Easy to send a message
  • Notifications are pretty clear
  • Simple to learn and onboard new employees.
  • Easy to meet
  • Video communication needs improvement over software peers - its buggy and low quality.
  • Customer service is lacking compared to competitors
  • Chat windows can have multiple windows running at once which is distracting
  • Helpful for improving communication when working remotely
  • Not a great tool for video chats and had a negative impact during the start of COVID-19.
  • Good to reach co-workers quickly and to be sure they are notified of a message.
  • Easy to meet quickly
Used company wide
We eventually switched to Zoom solely based on the poor video quality of Cisco Jabber. We kept Cisco Jabber for chat for quite awhile, and eventually realized it was cheaper to switch to Microsoft Teams. Cisco Jabber is better for chat quality and features, but Microsoft Teams was a lot cheaper and included for free with other Microsoft software we purchase.

Do you think Webex App delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Webex App's feature set?

No

Did Webex App live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Webex App go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Webex App again?

No

Our company eventually switched to another service provider based on how slow, buggy and dysfunctional the video component of Cisco Jabber is. If you wanted to use Cisco Jabber solely for chatting without video, its a great tool that runs very efficiently. It's wonderful to reach a co-worker quickly for a short discussion but isn't the best for longer conversations you want to retain.

WebEx however is easy to use and implement, and I would recommend it.

Cisco Hybrid Work

  • Working from an office or other company space
  • Working from home
This tool makes it easier to meet from anywhere. It enables me to collaborate and be productive with co-workers when working from home. It was quite easy to implement throughout out firm and took little time to learn for our newer employees.
We struggled with staying connected across offices and staying connected among employees who are in the office or working from home. We use several tools, Cisco being one of them, to collaborate and meet in hybrid situations. It allows us to meet quickly and efficiently as needed and on the fly.
It makes it quicker and easier for us all to meet. It also us to share content while meeting and to set up meetings very quickly. It cuts down on the email overload, by letting us meet more efficiently to answer questions and work through issues over Webex versus over many emails.
We have experienced greater flexibility in where we work, but despite different geographic locations, are still able to work and collaborate on projects with ease.
We use several tools for collaboration. WebEx is pretty easy compared to many of the others, and it seems to be pretty seamless for our outside vendors to use too. I find it very similar to a few other meeting tools we use as well, and its easy to learn.
