Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MX

We use the Cisco Meraki MX line of products at all of our locations. Having a GUI that centrally manages our fleet empowers even new technology pros the ability to do network administration tasks.

Pros

  • Simplifies network administration
  • Site to site VPN with other Cisco Meraki MX’s requires 0 effort
  • Support is usually responsive

Cons

  • Logging is lacking - requires custom solution for log ingestion
  • Federal compliance might be an issue
  • Advanced use cases are limited in comparison with competitors
  • Enabled the infrastructure team to operate without a dedicated network admin
  • Speed of deployment - clone existing networks
We turn up and spin down 50 networks per year with few mouse clicks without requiring physical access to the devices.
The Meraki Dashboard allows us to centrally and seamlessly manage our fleet of security appliances, switches, and access points for over 50 networks.
It can do most of what we require, but is lacking in a few advanced features.
The Meraki Dashboard has been a lot more intuitive than CradlePoint NetCloud. We switched from CradlePoint to Cisco Meraki MX because we were already familiar with the interface which allowed us to be familiar with a single dashboard.
