Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MX

We needed mesh networking to replace expensive MPLS circuits. Cisco Meraki MX mesh VPN was the perfect fit. It is an easy to implement and easy to maintain product. Going forward into more cloud centric services the product is flexible enough to provide both security and expandability. Bringing IPv6 into the product guarantees it will continue to be useful.

Pros

  • Site to site connectivity
  • Content filter
  • Policy based rules

Cons

  • Simpler licensing
  • Improved OSPF support
  • Better SNMP support
  • Automated firmware upgrades
Site cloning offers extremely quick site rollout for temporary or permanent locations. Adding, removing, and replacing equipment is very simple. Filtering management is self explanatory and easily applied organization wide. Firewall management is simplified and easy to understand.
Quick deployment and ease of use were tge main reasons we chose Meraki MX in the first place.
Fortinet was too complicated for our needs.
