Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We have a team that is in different time zones. Having ClickUp tasks that we can assign, complete, and leave notes for each other works well. We also use it for documenting workflows and processes in clear language. This makes training new staff easier as they follow the steps for a task. Overall it is a good product. Very easy to learn and use, so even our less tech-savvy staff can manage it.
Pros
- Workflows and Processes. Great to document 'how to' for staff so that the same steps are followed by each staff member and it is done to a consistent standard.
- Ease of use. It is not too complicated - people of all levels of tech can manage ClickUp without a lot of training.
- Task clarity. It is really easy to see who is assigned to do what, and by what date. It is easy to list things according to the level of priority.
Cons
- The CRM doesn't incorporate all communication from the client - it would be good if it could collect texts in addition to emails.
- Some of the more advanced features (automations, etc) take a bit of mucking around to try to get right and are not so easy to learn.
- Time tracking is very simplistic which can be positive or negative depending on your point of view.
- ClickUp helps us keep track of work and allocate work effectively.
- ClickUp has clear time lines so that we know if we are overdue on any task.
Collaboration with teams in different time zones is easier with ClickUp, we don't use it for brainstorming or general communication. We only use it for specific tasks and for an internal Wiki so that it is quicker and easier to train staff. It is not ideal as a CRM so we don't really use it for CRM anymore.
Not really simplify, but I think it keeps things on track. Automation is tricky to learn and implement effectively.
It is much better than Excel for any task-related or project-related work.
