Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We use ClickUp to organize our projects, tasks, and subtasks. ClickUp allows our Web, Marketing, Customer Service, and management teams to have long-term organization and documentation of our updates, as well as allowing for requests, reviews, and notices of changes to colleagues. All of our major repository changes are logged and documented within ClickUp.
Pros
- ClickUp keeps information about a task all in one place
- ClickUp replaces most email for reviewing updates on a task and project management
- ClickUp allows us to see what needs done, what is done, and what we are doing at work
Cons
- ClickUp has far more functionality than our teams could use profitably and efficiently, and this sometimes bogs down the interface
- ClickUp, by default emails notifications of changes to tasks, and this can become overwhelming (and if ClickUp is used to replace email, this is unnecessary noise)
- On the successful completion of notifications page, quotes of business leaders are sometimes trite and full of hubris (as quotes of leaders have a tendency to be)
- ClickUp keeps me from receiving constant and unnecessary "reply all" emails about tasks at work. This adds up to a lot of noise cancelled throughout the day.
We use ClickUp at work, mainly in silos. While all teams can see each others' tasks and projects, we generally don't cross into other teams' work on ClickUp. I'm not sure how one would team brainstorm via ClickUp, but tracking is excellent, and c-suite level people can be given a URL when they ask about how a project is going (or be set to "follow" the task), and this means far fewer meetings.
ClickUp helps us document where we are at in a project or task.
