Overall Satisfaction with EZ Texting
We use EZ Texting to send out our weekly newsletter to our church members. We also send up updates regarding emergencies/closures/changes/etc. when needed.
Pros
- Easy to use interface. Easy to navigate and get where you need to be quickly.
- I appreciate the tools provided, especially the link shortener, so everything is super fast.
- The ability to have multiple groups or categories of contacts is great so that we can target the exact group we need to.
Cons
- Price is always an area that you'd love to see come down - but I don't feel like we're OVERPAYING by any means.
- I really don't have any other negative or frustrating comments.
- We've definitely seen an increase in our church-life engagement since utilizing this service.
We looked at Remind.com and Group Texting and decided that EZ Texting had all of the features we needed and the best user interface.
Using EZ Texting
2 - We use it to send information and encouragement to our church members.
2 - They are organized and structured people who are able to input/collect/compile data and then send that to our church members.
- Our primary use is to use it to send weekly information about what's going on to our church members.
- A secondary use would be to send important updates or quick reminders about events.
- We are considering using this EZ Texting to request information (i.e. send us pics from this weekend, what's your favorite song, etc)
- We might organize our contacts into different groups to target specific needs. Right now we're mainly just sending out the info to everyone on the list.
Evaluating EZ Texting and Competitors

For us it fell right in the crosshairs of reasonable price and included features/usability.
I suppose we could've had more people in our organization search for more platform options and done a "try before you buy" kinda thing. But we have thoroughly been satisfied with EZ Texting's features, usability, and price point.

It took me all of 7 mins to navigate the interface, figure out how to use it, send myself a test message, and then I was ready.
Configuring EZ Texting
Make sure that you categorize your keyword groups/contacts as early on in the process as possible.

I really like the standard configuration that EZ Texting has setup for all users.

- The link shortener is fantastic and easy to use.
- Adding contacts and setting up a group was a breeze.
- Simply generating a new message to send out is unbelievably easy.
- I literally can't think of anything to put in this section -- everything is easy to navigate and use.

EZ Texting Reliability
Relationship with EZ Texting
When I spoke with the agent about our needs they actually steered us to a lower priced package because they knew we didn't need some of the features of the more costly packages. I very much appreciated that they weren't just after our money but truly did want to earn our business through honesty.
I would just be honest with them and tell them your exact needs. In our experience they were not over or under-selling us. They met our needs with the appropriate package.
