We use EZ Texting for attendees to text keywords in to get information (like sign-up links). We have found this easier than trying to get people to sign up on paper or iPads. We also use EZ Texting to send reminder links to leaders to submit reports.

If you are looking to use your current business number as a mass texting service (rather than adding a business number) this is a great option. Set up simple keywords with automatic replies.

We were looking for a replacement for having iPads on-site for customer acquisition forms. What we decided was that having users text a shortcode to access the forms via their mobile device was an easier, on-the-go solution, reducing technical debt, and preventing us from having to buy new hardware to maintain our workflow. We're a portfolio of brands and two of our brands used EZ Texting at many activations.

EZ Texting is great for starting your journey into using SMS and MMS for both campaigns and event activations. The same-day setup and do-it-yourself platform makes it easy to manage and handle your data. It may be less appropriate for setting up recurring campaigns such as order shipment notifications as the API isn't advertised as far as I'm aware and tokenization isn't in the platform.
Every time I messed up or had questions, EZ Texting's support team was there to save me from myself. Their support staff will likely not be needed unless you are working with their month-to-month plans and are a pro at forgetting to cancel the day after renewal like myself. I had both positive phone and email communications over the years.

Our church (Hungry Church) currently uses EZ Texting to send out reminders for upcoming events and conference calls. We are able to attach our Zoom link to the text message and people are able to click the link from the text to take them directly to the Zoom call.

I have used it several times and only ran into two minor issues:
1) It wasn't able to deliver to Sprint/ T-Mobile users (this only lasted maybe 1 day).
2) It did not let me paste a previous message for some reason.
Both these issues were resolved and have not had issues

Accomplishes my goal of mass messaging.
I did have an issue one time with the site. It was after normal business hours so I couldn't get an answer right away. However, once I spoke with a rep they were able to assist me and figure out the issue and gave a credit so I was pleased with their help.

EZ Texting is being used just by one department, Guest Services. The fantastic thing is it allows us to message customers on either a recurring basis or a one time occurrence. It has allowed us to better communicate, thus increasing customer satisfaction and referrals. The ease of use has allowed us to quickly implement this into our business.

  • Pricing plans.
If you have a smaller business or customer base then this is the platform for you. This likely wouldn't be the tool to implement into your website as a chat feature, but it would work for one time or recurring messages to increase communication. They also have nice features for text in or short codes.
I personally didn't require their support to get this tool up and running. I did resort to a quick Google search for best practices, but that was related more toward customer oriented messaging, not EZ Texting.

We love how simple a text can be and the short code just adds to the user experience.

We use EZ Texting to connect Black voters with the information and issues that are more important to them. We broadcast to our subscribers across our 12 states to provide state-unique messaging to promote civic engagement and organization. It helps us meet our people where they are in the real world, which is usually on their cellphones.

  • Mobile app needs to operate more like the website in terms of functionality.
  • Text flow responses should be easier to navigate for brands who want to respond.
In terms of broadcast texting, in my view it's the gold standard went it comes to functionality, practicality, and usability. This is appropriate for nearly every sector of business, government, non-profit, and education. Broadcast text in the non-profit world is good to keep people updated, but because it doesn't have similar texting flows like P2P platforms, it makes having impactful conversations more tedious.
It can be sometimes difficult to reach customer service when you have a rapid or urgent need, but when you do they are super friendly and beyond helpful.

EZ Texting has provided us with a lot of different solutions with our Marketing and Advertising Department and is proving itself to be worth more than its weight in gold. The platform is so straightforward and simple that a novice user will be able to handle complicated tasks. We have also taken advantage of its API resources to automate our SMS campaigns.

We use EZ Texting to offer patient appointment scheduling via text. We originally planned on all of our employees taking turns being on call to answer texts, so that we can communicate with patients in order to book their appointments during most/all hours. Because of some glitches with EZ Texting, we are not using it as much as intended. So we have just one employee using it now (our receptionist) to schedule appointments via text. Patients do enjoy being able to text. It works great when used by just one person on one device, so we use it at our reception desk. We wish we could use the app/our phones and other computers to "tag team" the patient texting but, unfortunately, this does not work with EZ Texting (because the replies do not show up on all devices...the texts do not sync across multiple devices, even though they're all logged in to the same account).
  • Allowing patients to text our landline number keeps it simple (only one phone number to save for either voice or texting).
  • Patients get quicker replies when texting us than if we miss their call and have to check for voicemail.
  • We have clear text to show a patient if they miss their appointment and claim we told them a different time. We can show them the texting transcript.
  • Texts should sync between multiple devices. We cannot all reply to patient texts to share the work load because we don't know if another employee has already responded. It just doesn't show up. If we answer on our phone via the app, the desktop doesn't update with the reply. So we have to look back and forth between any of the devices used to reply to determine which patients have already received a reply, etc.
  • We could really use an "out of office" automatic reply. We had a company retreat to Cancun and hated having to text all weekend with patients, when it would have been much more relaxing to know that they could get an automatic reply that we would be back in the office on Monday.
  • Patients accidentally unsubscribe from us often because they text things that sound like "remove from list" etc. For example, when patients ask us to cancel their appointment.
We're trying to keep it simple and use it just for patients to schedule appointments. It has great potential to work well for this, and I'm sticking with the company because I hope they do correct some issues. We just need it to sync texts across all devices (incoming and outgoing), allow us to set up temporary "out of office" replies, and possibly allow us to desensitize the automatic unsubscribe option (not a big deal).
They are nice and definitely try to help, but haven't really gotten anything resolved (hence the 9 instead of 10).

It is by far the communication process that gets the best responses from our audience. We couldn't be happier with our account with EZ Texting.

Again it is so useful for us as we attempt to communicate with our potential leads. We use it for both the keywords, in which we put a keyword on our outdoor advertising and individuals respond directly to those keywords, and also for text blasts that we send out to potential students who might not have responded to us otherwise.
The tech support at EZ Texting is amazing. They are there all the time and are available to chat or to talk on the phone. They are all very friendly individuals who have a very calming tone and will make sure that you walk away satisfied. They are very professional.

Our employees are also able to send us texts to inquire about information during their employment. We also have a keyword set up for applicants to request online applications.

We use EZ Texting across our organization. We use it primarily for calls to action in live scenarios but also for quick CTA's in promotional content.

Good for quick simple setup. If you'd like to save money, you can get into more technical details and do so by going direct with a company like Twilio.
Support helped us with a custom plan that ended up saving money because we needed quite a few keywords and they bundled them together.

We are a chiropractic office and use EZ Texting to communicate with our patients about their upcoming appointments and rescheduling and/or a change in office procedures. It has been very helpful and decreased our missed appointments, and we find it interesting that people would rather text before calling. Overall it has been very helpful to our office.

  • Wish it had a longer first name space as sometimes the contact number is more than one person.
  • It constantly pops up with a popup that blocks me when I'm making a text about buying a more advanced version. Quite irritating when I'm trying to text.
Great to give a platform for clients to contact us without using the phone. People are more likely to text than to call so this has helped us a lot.
We had an issue early on and the support team really didn't take much of an interest when what they said didn't work.

We use it to communicate with retail sellers in stores. We send them updates on key products and other programs. It helped us during Covid 19 with sharing product news and other key details without being able to see them in stores.

We began by using EZ Texting to communicate internally amongst staff. This year we have used EZ Texting to receive general inquiries/messages from the public, and to answer questions from the public during special events. EZ Texting has allowed us to respond to guests when our phone lines may too busy, and in a format that guests are comfortable with. The use during special events has been a great way to provide interaction with our staff at a time when we're working to maintain safe distances.
  • Easy to use web interface.
  • The ability to set up our main business phone to receive texts is fantastic.
  • There are an abundance of features we haven't even explored yet but look forward to doing so!
  • The mobile app is great alternative when a desktop or laptop isn't available.
  • A step-by-step tutorial on the setup of different functions would be useful.
EZ Texting is an excellent tool for supplementing your public communications. We use it as an additional channel that our guests can use to reach us for asking questions and getting information. It hasn't been the easiest to use for internal communications among staff members, as we initially intended to use it.
I haven't needed to use EZ Texting's support options. I see where it is available and it is clear how to go about seeking help if I need it.

EZ Texting is being used by both our sales departments and our customer service departments. It helps send reminders of upcoming recruitment meetings as well as follow up for the sales department. The customer service department uses it as reminders for upcoming important deadlines for customers.
  • Very easy to manage users/credits.
  • User friendly UI that staff are able to use without issues.

  • Reporting could be a little be better and more detailed.
  • Having the text come from a long code number instead of short code.
EZ Texting is great if you are using it to send out different types of reminders to potential or current customers. It allows us to manage list and easily remove those who do not wish to receive text messages without us worrying about someone else sending them one unless they opt in again in the future.

I would not use EZ Texting to try and complete a sale, more so the use to set up a conversation about it.
Their support team is always very fast, reliable, accurate and professional. We never have to try to escalate any issues or reach out to our sales rep for additional assistance. We have not had any problems with the support team at all and I would give them a 10 because of that.

It's being used by the host on 2 different iPads as well as myself on my iPhone when I'm not at the restaurant.
  • Texting a landline is convenient so that you don't have to have multiple phone numbers.
  • Convenient that it's on an iPhone, iPad, and computer.
  • The text messages come in late and/or in the wrong order. Sometimes the beginning of a text will come in hours after the end of the text arrives.
  • We often don't see notifications until after we refresh the app.
We need better notifications, and also need the texts to be received in the correct order. It's useful for sending texts to guests and answering short questions.
