Flowlu (aka project management powerhouse)
Overall Satisfaction with Flowlu
I'm not a fan of broken workflows. There are great apps for project management but there is no clear workflow with them, we'll always have to do the "glue work" to keep them together. But... that wasn't the case with Flowlu. With Flowlu we're able to bring Projects, Task Assigning, Sprints, CRM and clients from occasional contract work under one roof for effective management.
Pros
- CRM - my top usage
- Collaboration - not just internally, external with clients as well
- Helps us get paid with its native payment integrations
Cons
- The UI/UX is confusing and has a steep learning curve
- Theme/appearance customization should be there - its current form is okay but it's mostly just boring black, white and gray and some greens
- Onboarding was long - understandable given that the app has many features but it would be great if the onboarding shows up for each tool intuitively as we use
- Time invested in learning the app was huge, there's no go-to resource center and currently their knowledge is scattered (YouTube videos, Knowledge Base, API docs etc)
- We are able to cancel subscriptions of some of the other CRM and project management apps as the needs are covered by Flowlu
- There's a significant productivity boost after learning the app but this is not quite measurable just yet
- MindMeister, ClickUp, monday.com, Airtable, Notion, Wrike, Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager and Trello
Flowlu was better than every alternative I explored. Flowlu is the above-average "jack of all trades" which covers most business aspects.
On the other hand, be it Wrike, MindMeister, Airtable or Trello boards, they serve well-defined use cases and primarily cover one business aspect only. For example, MindMeister does mindmaps but that's already there in Flowlu. While MindMeister's mind mapping engines are powerful they don't serve business owners or project managers but Flowlu is built for this very purpose, so as a result Flowlu still shines here.
