Overall Satisfaction with Gong
We use Gong extensively for training and listening to peers, but also for forecasting and gleaning AI-powered insights about call effectiveness and successful patterns. Gong has gone from just a sales support tool, to help with coaching and re-listening to conversations with prospects, but it's grown into almost a full sales management platform, with forecasting and deal-management built in. I wouldn't work at a sales org that didn't have Gong- even just for the call listening component!
Pros
- Summarizes calls
- Provides a list of action items from my calls
- Provides tips and best practices
Cons
- The transcripts aren't perfect.
- It could be slightly more intuitive on the full account activity view.
- Gong's summarization and task-call-outs save me so much time from actually going back and relistening to every call
- Being able to see call sentiment right next to forecasting helps me prioritize which accounts to touch most, or in that moment
- It allows me to easily share secured video files with prospects, for limited amounts of time.
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Gong might miss something occasionally, but in general their AI insights have significantly helped me prioritize accounts, change my talk-tracks to better align with prospect sentiment, and quickly reminds me what we talked about last time when I hop on a new call with a prospect I've been speaking with.
Gong has helped me build insights not only within my deals, but also in different industries and in the market as a whole. Using the metrics and inpfographics that tie to sentiment, buyer scores, etc. I can spot trends over time, and see how my prospects might be thinking in the moment.
The only similar software I've used is Chorus by ZoomInfo. I don't find Zoominfo to be particularly helpful other than for up to date contact info, so having these functions tied to gether is not so important to me, and the actual functionality of Chorus is nowhere near as robust as Gong.
