Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

There is so much to do for a small business, especially when it comes to social media and online presence. Hootsuite makes it a little easier to get things online and in one step to all channels.

When you're a small team, having a tool that helps to eliminate separate tasks, it frees up your day to do other things.

Pros

  • Multi-account management.
  • Ease of use.

Cons

  • More intuitive, step-by-step training for folks who don't know technology.
  • Definite increase in reach (and thus engagement, follows, etc.) thanks to regular posting.
  • Helpful to see our efforts pay off with the analytics reports.
I use tools like this often and find it easy to navigate. I mentioned tutorials being a nice-to-have earlier and it does look like they have pop-ups to help guide you if you're not as familiar with these types of tools. Overall, I find it easy to use and easy to connect accounts to.
Seeing a steady increase in the engagement on our posts seems to be connected to posting more regularly, which Hootsuite allows us to do easily. The engagement aspect is lacking, for example I can't see comments or comment back in Hootsuite on posts. The reporting is truly the most impactful, as it shows what's been working and what hasn't been, making planning for future content more efficient and effective.
I do find Hootsuite to be more user-friendly, cleaner, and includes much more reporting for the price. Sprout Social charges quite a bit more for fewer reports and fewer included aspects, like listening and ads. The interface is more aesthetically pleasing, as well, and seems to connect more accounts for a lower monthly fee.

Do you think Hootsuite delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Hootsuite's feature set?

Yes

Did Hootsuite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Hootsuite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Hootsuite again?

Yes

The cost may prohibit some organizations from using the service, but if company has a small team and one person handling marketing, this could alleviate the need for an additional teammate. There seems to be great insights from data to determine when and where to post, which is not something even seasoned marketers have access to.
