Overall Satisfaction with Iterable

We use Iterable as cross-marketing CRM software for all communications with our customer base, both Account Information and Marketing. The product helps us engage with our users, upsell and cross-sell our products, as well as create awareness about our brand. On top of this, we also use Iterable for internal communications.

Pros

  • Segmentation interface: intuitive and efficient
  • Journey visualisation: simple and hands-on
  • PUSH Notification Testing and Setup

Cons

  • Email Template Images Gallery: accessing the images folder and admin is slightly complex and sometimes slow loading
  • User look-up could be more intuitive
  • Developing more integrations (Looker, Trustpilot, external software)
  • Positive impact on customer retention via smart segmentation
  • Positive impact on product uptake (eg. increased net deposits)
As said, I believe my ability to segment and rollout personalised campaigns has been really supported by Iterable functionality. Automation is also easy to access. I think Iterable customer support, although diminished in quality in the last 6 months, it's a fast and easy tool to get support when needed. If i were to mention one area of improvement, I would say that to have access to chatting with Iterable technical support would allow marketers to implement new tools such as in-app in a quicker and easier way.
I honestly think that my role, with a lot of execution involved, has not fully allowed me to experiment on this area. However, I can definitely say that features such as Send Time Optimisation and Channel Optimisation take the pressure of marketers and help save some essential execution time, whilst delivering comms at the right time and place.
I can't provide a direct comparison as I have not executed marketing communications with other CRM tools before. Of course, having used Pipedrive as a CRM tool for sales and lifecycle management, I would definitely choose Iterable for complexity and ease of use. The only feature I "miss" from Pipedrive would be, in fact, seeing a pipeline of the customer lifecycle that allowed to instantly see at what point of our app experience the customer was.

Overall Iterable is well-suited for managing cross-marketing channel sends, for ease of setting up complex journeys, and for creating new lists and cohorts of users via the segmentation tool. The interface is friendly and accessible. On the other hand, compared to other software, it may be lacking in a few major integrations with external software, as well as more complex data analysis tools.
