Overall Satisfaction with Iterable

We utilize Iterable to orchestrate our customer journey from first signup through their entire lifecycle. They allow us to create automated and behavior based communications with our audience as well as scheduled campaigns to predetermined segments. We're able to quickly and easily communicate through a variant of channels including email, push, in-app notifications, and embedded messages.

Pros

  • Customer Journey creation - the platform easily creates a visual path for the marketing team to curate messaging based around timing, channel, behavior as well as add split testing logic and exit criteria so we target only the audiences we want.
  • Customer Success - one of the best teams I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I'm able to move so much quicker because they really create a helpful partnership.
  • Audience segmentation, the platform is easy to work with even if you're a first time user, they do a great job of visually showing the logic and the and/or/none type rules.

Cons

  • KPI tracking, it's hard to always attribute the correct conversion with the right marketing channel.
  • Keeping journey data out of campaign data - more a visual thing but I wish it wasn't even an option to show up there.
  • They have a dashboarding tool but it's sort of buried and I don't use very much though I'd like to use more.
  • Great ROI, for the cost we're getting amazing value out of the product. We couldn't do much of our marketing without it.
  • This is one of our best tools to drive customer retention. It's hard enough to get a customer to your product in the first place but Iterable helps us get those customer to keep coming back time and time again.
  • Testing functionality, we've ramped up our testing with our own ML tools to pair with Iterables AI tools to power up our customer engagement strategy.
Iterable has greatly impacted my companies ability to drive customer engagement at scale. We're able to personalize and create meaningful moment based marketing with ease and continue to learn and test as we go. Iterable allows us to scale quickly without the need for engineering resource except for when passing in new data from our database.
Iterable allows us to automatically place users into their appropriate segments and customer experiences, whether is a net new users, a long time engaged user, or someone who hasn't been in the product for a while and is just returning we're able to place those audiences into the right journey to effectively communicate the right message to them.
If you're still using SFMC do yourself a favor and explore some of the newer options available. Iterable is a strong competitor unless you need the B2B and account based marketing/support teams all in a single platform.
Klaviyo is great and best for small-medium size companies specifically in the ecommerce and B2C space (or if you use Shopify).

Braze is the closest competitor and is a comparable product offering similar features and functionality. Overall it comes down to familiarity with either system, costs and support.
