Overall Satisfaction with Lifesize Video Conferencing

I’ve worked a lot this year in search of a real solution for video conferences. We tried Aethra Vega systems and after that Adobe Connect Meetings with mixed results. Today we use Google Hangouts a lot for meetings inside our organization and Adobe Connect as an e-learning platform. With Lifesize we made a step forward in quality and professionalism.
It's used by our organization. We have improved the quality of video conferencing and consequently have improved collaboration. It's simple and accessible from everywhere, without a loss of quality. Unlike other systems tested previously in our society, we encountered no sudden blackout or loss of audio. The device adapts itself to the speed of the available bandwidth. Great!

Pros

Cons

  • Touch screen on Lifesize device sometimes is slow.
  • Picture in Picture (PIP) could be improved during presentations.
  • Information about meeting rooms is wrong.
  • When I want to invite other colleagues I have to write the address again.
There are no scenarios where Lifesize Video Conferencing is less appropriate. It is the ideal tool for small businesses and the costs are not as high for subscriptions. I like the integration with Google Chrome. It is also useful to those who do not have a professional apparatus. All you need is a webcam and a microphone to connect via the Lifesize app (iOs/Android).

Internal Helpdesk supports end users in their use.

  • We have high expectations from live streaming with Lifesize. Actually the tests have not been positive.
