Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor
LogicMonitor is being used to monitor my environment which includes everything from my networking devices, websites, VMware farm, Windows servers, printers, access points, etc. We originally had multiple software that monitored SCOM, WhatsUp Gold, PRTG; and we wanted to consolidate our monitoring solutions. This is a product that the IT department uses independently outside of the business.

LogicMonitor really was beneficial due to its ease of use. PRTG is an excellent monitoring solution, but it does not integrate with Active Directory as well. WhatsUp Gold is also fairly easy to implement but was still internally hosted. Zabbix was still internally hosted at the time of discovery. LogicMonitor being a PaaS solution with proxy agents made it an ideal pick.
We are primarily an on prem environment but leverage PaaS and SaaS solutions. We are moving towards an IaaS environment but only need to monitor the applications and not the physical environment. We have not leveraged LogicMonitor yet against our Azure or Office 365 environment. We are using it in an on prem environment at multiple locations.
Due to this, LogicMonitor was extremely easy to implement. It is beneficial to leverage this and reduce IT debt on having to manage a server. Also, it is foolish to monitor your environment from within your environment. If you loose network or that server goes down you become blind. LogicMonitor is an easy enough solution to implement.
