Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Central by GoTo

We as IT team members are located at different parties of the world and need access to computers and servers from our remote location. LogMeIn Central by GoTo helps us work on our organization's network seamlessly and securely. The connections to the machines are fast and help us to develop applications on machines within our Organization's network as if we are working on our local computers.

The best thing about LogMeIn Central by GoTo is its usability. The dashboard has a simple and clean layout and adjusts well to different screen sizes. A list of all computers connected to the LogMeIn Central by GoTo account appears in the dashboard where each machine is represented by an icon showing the device name, and status, whether online/offline. Clicking a device icon asks you for credentials for the remote computer and you are then connected to the remote machine.
LogMeIn Central by GoTo's availability is very good. However, we have seen that at times we face region-wide outages or downtime. This leads to a drop in productivity and a loss of development hours and delays. This happens once in a while but we expect 100% up-time and it becomes frustrating because of our critical remote access needs.
LogMeIn Central by GoTo generally outperforms TeamViewer and ConnectWise ScreenConnect in several key areas. While both alternatives have their merits, they come with drawbacks such as higher costs and performance issues over slow connections. A significant differentiator for me is the user interface, which is crucial for daily use. In terms of ease of use, I have found LogMeIn Central by GoTo to be the most user-friendly among the options available.

It is best suited for Organizations and Enterprises where secured access is needed for employees to remotely access servers and machines on the Organization's remotely i.e. Work from Home scenarios. It might not be appropriate in scenarios where remote users' internet connectivity is poor, leading to lag or connectivity issues to machines.

Using LogMeIn Central by GoTo

8 - The team mainly focuses on developing software applications and websites and deploying applications on servers using LogMeIn Central. Technical Support and Development teams also use LogMeIn to connect to the server on our internal network where backup software runs to create backup jobs and monitor currently running jobs. The team members are located at remote locations so LogMeIn central helps to manage these business functions
2 - We have our Technical Administrator and Technical Support personnel to support LogMeIn Central by GoTo. They help set up LogMeIn on new servers and manage issues with LogMeIn Central when servers go down. The administrator resets the password whenever required and monitors LogMeIn Central.

LogMeIn Central by GoTo is easy to set up, manage, and monitor for Administrators. For End Users, it is easy to remotely connect to machines. The other factor that helped us decide to purchase LogMeIn Central is its cost vs value proposition as compare to similar products in the market.
We might use a different evaluation and selection process by comparing LogMeIn Central by GoTo with other similar products in the market. We would take trials of all the available products and use them first for some time in our organization. The product which gives us good Cost vs Value would be our choice.

LogMeIn Central by GoTo Implementation

I was not involved in the implementation of the product.
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - We need to communicate clearly to all the stakeholders and provide them with training and support. Video Training sessions to the developers and support staff helped them to easily transition to connecting to remote servers via LogMeIn. Installation of LogMeIn Central and using it effectively is the main takeaway from implementing LogMeIn Central by GoTo.

Yes - The mobile interface might not be fully functional as compared to the desktop version but provides all the basic needs on a mobile device.
