Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
We use Mailchimp across several departments in our organization but primarily in Marketing, CS, and Sales. It helps us to create custom email campaigns to nurture new opportunities and engage existing customers on new offerings.
- It is easy to set up campaigns.
- You can create simple or complex templates and then merge data in from other sources.
- It is easy to manage your campaigns after they've been created.
- You can glean valuable data insights on how recipients interact with your messages.
- I've never liked the heavy branding on Mailchimp's product. Sometimes I'm ok with people knowing it's powered by Mailchimp but other times I want the message to feel less automated and the branding ruins that.
- Customer Support has not been great in the few times we've needed it and reached out.
- It used to be head and shoulders above other offerings on the market but there are more solid competitors to consider now.
- They have several pricing options and it was easy to test out product before diving into a paid plan.
- It has helped us create broader reach in our existing markets.
- It has allowed us to explore new markets at less cost out of the gate.
I don't think that Mailchimp can claim to be the big innovator in the space anymore as others have had to be scrappier recently, but Mailchimp definitely has the most robust suite of tools and functionality.
We honestly haven't used Mailchimp as an all-in-one marketing platform. We use it exclusively for creating different contact campaigns.
Mailchimp has allowed us to be much more efficient with our contact campaigns and increase the breadth of our marketing funnel.
