A package of tools needed for your everyday office life
Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is being used throughout our company. We use two versions of 365: Essentials (cloud) and Premium (desktop). These options are set according to the use and application of the office package tools. This way we were able to make license fees a little cheaper, and we were able to standardize spreadsheet and text editors, as well as being in the legal process of using the software (anti-piracy).
Pros
- The collaborative model is well developed, and more than one person can edit spreadsheets, texts, and presentations at the same time.
- The integration of the Office suite tools (one drive, Skype, planner, and others) allows us to create, edit documents, share the document with the other components of the organization with the external ones as well.
- Versioning and change control is very effective and the author can identify who changed the document (who, time and date) and can quickly and easily reverse these changes.
Cons
- Their integration with the Operating System when starting together makes the Windows boot process slow as disk consumption goes to 100%, one solution is to use SSD but the amount to be invested to solve this problem is very high.
- While collaboratively editing documents, the application sometimes experiences a sync error and prompts you to "save as" or close the application which may lead to data loss.
- We were able to quickly eliminate some costs for managing email accounts, pirated fines, and publisher standardization. All of this helped in a faster and simpler process of managing this data.
The main point was the integration of the tools: backup + email + text editors, all in one tool; Employees had greater difficulty creating presentations on their competitors' tools, as well as more advanced use of data sheets.
