Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is being used extensively within my organization to support a company-customized agile process. Microsoft Teams allow us to manage, track, prioritize and track the various stages of multiple tasks across the entire organization. Microsoft Teams also provides sophisticated reporting for management to aid in tracking where resources are being consumed. All-in-all, it's hard to believe we ever functioned with Microsoft Teams!
  • Microsoft Teams allows categorization of tasks at epics, features, stories, and tasks allowing very granular project management.
  • Microsoft Teams offers detailed reporting and graphs providing both detailed and visual project status.
  • Microsoft Teams includes web-based team communication allowing our team to easily work with resources located in other countries, with no additional cost.
  • Microsoft Teams integrates perfectly with Microsoft Office allowing for management of calendar events, documents (via SharePoint) and a robust chat client.
  • The Microsoft Teams application often gets "confused" over which stories to display by iteration. Periodically, the filters seem to be simply ignored.
  • Microsoft Teams tends to crash quite often when running on an Apple laptop.
  • Some of the desktop features (such as turning off notifications for a specific group) do not seem to be available in the mobile app.
  • Microsoft Teams has provided for cross-team project management allow us to reduce costs by more than 5% annually.
With the exception of the periodic filtering glitch and crashing on Apple machines, Microsoft Teams is a fantastic team collaboration tool. Using this tool, teammates can collaborate online or even have one-on-one conversations with or without desktop sharing all from within the application or app on a mobile device.
I am not personally on the application support team, but to-date, everything we have required of Microsoft Teams it has been able to deliver. This leads me to assume the level of support is quite good.
Microsoft Teams is a much better, more complete product than either Trello or Skype. We previously used Skype and it was somewhat limited as it was not fully integrated into the Microsft suite of products.
Of the numerous team collaboration tools I have used throughout my career, Microsoft Teams seems to be the most comprehensive tool that I have used. You can chat one-on-one or in group chats. You can manage online and in-person team meetings in one interface. You can even view your SharePoint documents in a Teams interface or link directly to SharePoint, all from within the Teams interface.
