Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

Right now Microsoft Teams is only being used by three departments, made up of about 15 individuals. It has not been utilized company wide just yet. It is mainly used for instant communication between the three departments that constantly work together, but are separated in different areas of our building. It helps to ask a quick question without picking up the phone. It is also nice to message someone when they are not available by phone.
  • Creates shared spreadsheets and Word documents that are editable by all users
  • Provides a tool for instant communucation
  • Can create team or group chats to focus in on a certain project and be able to create smooth communication
  • I find it hard to open items that I have downloaded.
  • There are several non-work related group chats happening that management is not aware of.
  • Improved interdepartmental communication
  • Increased productivity by reducing emails
  • Has improved external communication between departments
I personally like Slack better, but it was a decision made by a few employees to switch. I think that Slack is more user-friendly overall. The group chose Teams because it integrates with our other Microsoft products that we use in house. There are a few perks including being able to edit documents within a chat, that Slack does not offer.
I have not personally used the support for Microsoft Teams. I am unable to provide an answer to this question.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

No

I think it is well suited if you have a team or teams that need to be in constant communication with one another. Chatting through Teams is much easier than emailing or picking up the phone. Emails seem to just get lost in the clutter of the inbox, and Teams helps with this.
