Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

We use it for interdepartmental communication, for Task Delegation, leading projects, for new services implementation projects, for documenting issues with current software, etc.
  • Chat.
  • Document management.
  • Tasks.
  • Collaboration.
  • Conference Calling.
  • Speed when user behind application firewall.
  • Switch between Chat and Teams Channel is too slow.
  • Additional categorisation for Tasks within Teams.
  • Better integration with SharePoint.
  • There is urgent need to simplify administration and collaboration for new users.
  • Add password for public meetings.
  • Export chat from meeting and live events after the meeting has been closed.
  • Allow joining public meeting from PC client without registration.
  • Better controls for Meeting organiser (more control over attendees).
  • Every day collaborations make Teams most used application on company level.
  • It enabled integration with other departments on more granular level.
  • It complements our ticketing systems with Task feature.
  • Document collaborations made it No. 1 tool for reviewing.
We actually never asked to purchase Microsoft Teams. We got it within our Office/Microsoft 365 subscriptions. We were using Skype 4B within Department and when Teams was announced, within a week or two we tried to use Teams on Department level.
Within first 6 months people within company started to prefer Teams over Skype, also Microsoft was adding a lot, and I say a lot of features.
When Covid started we already where experienced users of Teams application for year and a half.
Also a lot of our customers wanted to have Teams, especially because it was provided for free for educational institutions for online learning.
That opened up the market and made it No. 1 tool for chat, voice and collaborations.
For teem meetings, live event and Webinar Teams is not on par with Zoom. Simply because Zoom is more user friendly and has listened to customer need more often then Microsoft. User management within meeting on Zoom is superior, as are security features. But there are hints that Teams will catch up within Q1 of 2021. Overall Teams is better, but there is room for improvement.

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

Team colaborations, meetings, calls, document share, tasks, to-do, whiteboards all very good within organisations.
I did implementations for companies with 2-3 users and in institutions with severeal hundreds of users. It works. It is fairly flexible solutions for different needs, but the core features are amongst the best on the market.
