Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Specific individuals and departments use it within my organization for all sorts of purposes - brainstorming, design, process mapping, collaboration, notetaking, wireframing, story mapping, etc.
  • Creative uses for varied teams/departments/businesses.
  • Easy to maneuver.
  • Frames for presentation ease.
  • Process Flows.
  • Group Brainstorming.
  • Performance issues (load time).
  • More templates would be great with ease to change themes/colors.
  • "My boards" section.
  • Improved productivity.
  • Improved design.
  • Improved creativity.
  • Improved collaboration.
  • Improved cross-department teamwork.
I am looking forward to increased implementation within Teams. My organization did also not inform users of the Application (Which I prefer than Chrome).
Supports within a lot of different systems - Teams, Jira.
It has helped in so many ways! My teams are spread out geographically (and most are currently remote), but this allows us to work together and see updates in real-time. We have all become very proficient at Miro and can brainstorm, come up with process flows, etc. in a short time.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

N/a - I was not involved in evaluating other products.
Any sort of team collaboration, brainstorming, joint activities, ice breakers, etc. is EXCELLENT for Miro! It's also great for wanting to put ideas in your head down on "paper" - whether it's random thoughts or images, you have a lot of creative room within Miro. It would not be well-suited for group papers/memo-type work or for team chats.

Using Miro

  • Collaboration
  • Brainstorming
  • Process Mapping
  • Prototyping
  • Fun virtual activities
  • Bringing more fun/energy into virtual meetings during the pandemic
  • Saving the company on travel costs since more things can be done remote
  • Utilizing it for prototyping/mapping to support product development
  • Team meetings - not needing to use powerpoint
  • Utilizing it for training videos
I use it daily and can't imagine not completing my work for projects and with my team members without it. It's been really helpful in allowing me to plan, ideate, be creative, and work with a lot of people at once -- most applications will crash if there's 5+ users in the same place.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors

  • Scalability
  • Ease of Use
I work for a financial institution, so integration/cloud options aren't typically something that are enabled for us to use. Ease of use is important as we are big organization with different ranges of technical ability, so it's important the system appears friendly and is easy to figure out quickly.
N/a - I was not involved in evaluation/selection process when Miro was onboarded.

Miro Support

Miro Support Team is really great to work with, as well as all the individuals I've come across. They want to learn about their users and how they interact with Miro and want to help quickly. My one feedback is when I tried to submit a bug, I think they wanted more technical detail which I didn't know how to provide. I've also reached out for additional training for my team, product suggestions, etc., which they welcome with open arms.
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
No escalation required
Immediate help available
Support understands my problem
Support cares about my success
Not kept informed
Slow Initial Response
My company has the premium level support as we are a large enterprise. The Miro contacts proactively reach out to top users to introduce themselves and see how they can support is. They are always available for questions or feedback.

Using Miro

I think it's very easy to use. There are lots of short cuts for quick use and no overly complicated ways you have to find things. Sometimes my coworkers don't know what certain icons mean, but I think that's a lack of them clicking around on things. I always suggest just playing around with everything and you can hit control Z to undo it :) I did take a bunch of Miro trainings to learn more features and become a stronger user, which I would recommend to any user.
