Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use the Miro platform to create mindmaps to organize important information and develop strategies to create workshops. We usually work on the board simultaneously as we talk on Google Meet. We also use as a way to create flowcharts to study important subjects, we use as a tool to improve teaching and learning processes, the ability to make comments and use sticky notes is a huge differential due to the fact that in a group we can visualize how each member contributed with ideas, and the possibility to attach images and documents helped us to have easy access to important information, such as books, infographics, articles and quotes
  • Creation of mindmaps
  • Easy content organization
  • Simultaneous usage
  • Intuitive interface
  • Multiplataform (android/windows)
  • Not intuitive to know what each extension does
  • To know how small things can be to not lose quality in the exported image
  • Have diferent preset color options
  • Helped organize ideas and create workshops schedules
  • Improved productivity and communication
  • Clearer goals and solutions
It took some time for the whole team to be familiar with this platform bit since it is very intuitive, in a couple of days everybody mastered most of the basic tools. We still have some challenges concerning the exportation processes, but we tend to present in the app instead of downloading the content. It was important to have some people in the group who had previous experience with Miro to help and guide in the beginning.
As I said, it's very intuitive, and the platform gives important tips and videos to guide through some processes, some people in the group didn't explore that enough so we needed to talk throughout the process.
Yes, during the pandemics we created different ways to maintain touch, and the most effective way to produce was with Miro because we didn't adapt as much with other methods, especially with only one person editing everything while the others continued to talk about the topics we could share the responsibility to create the board and develop the ideas simultaneously.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

The simultaneous use and be specifically designed to be a whiteboard that can adapt to the needs of the users, in the Prezi experiences the presentation was very animated but hard to keep using for long periods due to the constant involuntary movements. And the PowerPoint didn't have simultaneous usage, and with Google presentations, we couldn't see the changes made on different pages, even tho we could see who were on each page, so sometimes we repeated information because of it.
I would recommend especially to people who know their way around New technologies and need to organize ideas and create flowcharts for any reason, but I would explain the limitations in the free plans. I think people who are not used to creating digital boards can have more trouble in the beginning, especially because there are multiple tools available, and the preset layouts are really helpful to those people, and so I would like more than one mindmap available, because I'm in the educational field more than the business, so we use mindmap a lot
