Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for everything from Agile retrospectives to planning of all different types. I use it at least 3-4 times every week. We have a lot of remote workers and it especially helps everyone to stay in sync in place of old physical whiteboards.

Pros

  • Collaboration, being able to edit boards simultaneously and see what others are doing / where their cursor is.
  • Being able to add many different types of elements like notes, frames, graphics, and more.
  • Performs really well even with many people connected.

Cons

  • Privacy features would be great for retrospectives, like if I were writing notes that I could keep private and then reveal with a toggle somewhere would make certain icebreaker activities and discovery activities a better experience.
  • It has helped us embrace hybrid working prior to COVID and fully remote working since the start of COVID.
  • We're able to stay much better organised with central boards for projects or teams.
As I said previously, it's a vital tool for us to work effectively with a mixture of in-office, partially, and fully remote workers.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

There is no better tool out there I'm aware of that makes remote organisation as seamless and easy as Miro. If you are working on remote teams of any size, even just two of you, then you must have Miro as part of your toolset. I say that as someone who has worked fully remotely for 5+ years, as well as in hybrid teams and in offices with remote workers.
