Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro as a digital whiteboard with strategic initiative project members. It's handy for exchanging ideas and thoughts among the members asynchronously. We used to use a similar Microsoft whiteboard app. But Miro is far easier to use intuitively. We aim to make each project more energetic using this tool.

Pros

  • Making fun atmosphere
  • Sophisticated UI
  • Various templates

Cons

  • Easier font size adjustment
  • More tutorials written in Japanese
  • Overall project quality
  • Strengthen of member's relationship
  • Penetration of Design Thinking
I recommend inviting some employees who are curious about new technologies, gadgets and services. The pilot users should provide a lot of applicable use cases and examples. hopefully, the company use the budget to allow the pilot users the premium version of Miro so they could learn the full scale of its usefulness.
We've gotten used to using various Microsoft apps. Also, Microsoft seems to integrate them using AI technologies. We are not sure which products we should use. Personally, I know Miro has a potential for the integration though. But I'm not sure if everyone in my company can follow Miro since most of them are not willing to learn new technologies or software.
It definitely had a big role in uniting all team members even if they were in the office or home. Also, if we have some absentees, they catch up with the latest project status easily by visiting the board afterwards. Casual funny stickers make the project team's mood more energetic.
Microsoft whiteboard is just a whiteboard. Since my company applies Microsoft tools mainly, We thought that using the whiteboard is right way to share ideas or thoughts among colleagues when Office 365 including Teams was released. But I found miro should be the best tool to collaborate with them after joining some webinars held by miro.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

We used to use physical whiteboards and sticky notes when we had brainstorming sessions. However, we are in a hybrid work situation after the pandemic. some members were in the same meeting room while others were taking work from home. In such a situation, Using Miro makes us feel as if we all were in the same room. Also, typed characters are easier to read for everyone than handwritten ones.

Using Miro

  • Brainstorming
  • Project management
  • Event management
  • Miro AI
  • Talk track
  • Presentation slides
  • Kaizen project
Personally, I believe miro can be an innovative collaboration tool for our team. I’d like to use miro more often among my team mates. However, most of my team mates still don’t look to get used to miro yet. I can’t say we're getting enough benefit toward to subscriptions fee at this point. I think I need to encourage them to use miro more by showing some beneficial ways.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors

  • Cloud Solutions
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
I think that sophisticated UI or easiness of how to use the tool is the most important factor not only for me but also all colleagues when I choose products or gadgets. A good example is iPhone. Anyone can start using it without reading thick users manuals. Being able to use it intuitively should be one of essential points for developing products.
If I have to choose again, I think I need to gather collectable information what kind of products are in the latest market. I’ll compare share of the market, UI and price. And I would try free plan if each product had in order to compare the UI and functions.
