Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I work at an agency with many different clients. For each client we use Micro primarily for project management and research/discovery work.
We write user stories for product design sprints in Miro and track their progress over time. We also use it for collaborative workshops internally or with clients. When using with clients we typically have an ice breaker game that involves the key actions each participant will need to take in order to participate in the workshop. This includes adding a sticky note, writing on sticky notes, moving notes around and dot voting. It is super intuitive, even for people who are not tech savvy
- Organized content
- Easily accessible with web link
- Intuitive interface
- Tools remote workshops (like timer)
- Can be playful or serious
- Not great tools for sketching ideas
- More custom colors or theming
- Layers panel to see things that are being overlapped easily
- Improved productivity
- Less travel expenses (can collaborate remotely)
- Used for tracking milestones and evidence of work
- Use as examples when pitching new work
We are fully remote and use it as a collaborative tool to get work done or just for playing games and team building. Its a great way for people to work together at once or on their own time and being able to see others’ progress in real time without having to open multiple files.
We use it with clients for project management and workshops. We have had clients bring it into their company’s process because they like it so much.
Very positive impact of collaboration from afar
We selected Miro because it is really simple to use and it is accessible through a link with a login. I love the whiteboard feel that resembles how we used to work when work meant being in person. A lot of the other tools have more of a specific role in a project where Miro can play many roles with all of the tools and pre build templates that are offered.
FigJam I think is the closest comparison, but despite the fact that we use Figma we still choose Miro. Miro is more intuitive and have more options with the toolbars and such
