Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As an indie video game publisher, we use Miro daily to collaborate with the game developers and studios we’ve signed games with. Miro allows us to synchronize our marketing and communication plans between projects, making it easier to manage and align our strategies across teams. Having a centralized workspace where all stakeholders can share and interact on visual boards is very efficient. Our application goes from drafting Steam store page mockups, to video trailer storyboards, or even production retrospective canvases. These elements are key to the successful launch and ongoing promotion of our games. The scope of our use case is wide-ranging: from an early game vision - where we do workshops that align production realities with a marketing trajectories - to post-launch retrospectives. It streamlines communication, reduces the need for multiple tools, and ensures that everyone, from developers to marketers, is working with the most up-to-date visual assets and strategic plans. This allows us to stay agile and responsive to the fast-paced nature of the game industry. It does not replace proper management tool, but it is more than complimentary to have everyone on boards at any time of the project.

Pros

  • Trailer storyboard
  • Store page mockup
  • Retrospective board
  • Visual calendar

Cons

  • Visual calendar tool
  • Synchronizing frame or content from different Miro boards
  • Developing a store page template tool without programmer
I don't think we could have been as effective withing our team works without a tool such as Miro. It really has simplified a lot of task and meetings since we are fully remote (4 years)
I believe the UX of Miro makes it very approachable to most user. The only competitor I feel does a better job in doing mock up and implementation is Figma.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

No

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Perfect to align the artist team with the programming team as a visual board is often more approachable than anything else. We often have the classical Jira vs Miro when it comes to bringing a full team around a project progression and task tracking. Bridging both made our life so simpler over time.
