Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use it to help brainstorm new ideas and have it on a frame that is easily adjustable compared to other suites of products we use. I like to have it when I start new engagements - so stakeholder mapping, creating an approach, help with conducting workshops and interactive activities. I really use MIRO for all of my needs - it is a great tool to get my thoughts onto paper.
Pros
- Putting focus group findings into one view
- Creating customer journeys
- Creating an empathy map
- Co-working space and brainstorming ideas - where you can put emojis, post it notes, and signals to easily review together
Cons
- Bringing things into the Microsoft suite - a lot of my clients do not use MIRO, but having a screenshot of the work and pasting it into PowerPoint or an email is a bit clunky
- Bringing in templates from other boards into a new board has some restrictions
- Improved productivity to help bring ideas together
- I don't need to spend hours playing around with how arrows connect together - or how spacing works. It's so easy to drag and drop.
It's just easy to format things especially when you are brainstorming and want to get ideas out quick and onto paper and not worry about formatting as much. I also like the ability to put sticky notes next to shapes and process flow diagrams so it's easy to follow. I also like the ability to tag people and track conversations.
I still use microsoft office tools as well as confluence to track product requirements. i don't use miro as much for those types of needs. it would be nice to have things integrated into one - so being able to write requirements, estimate timelines, and visualize why certain things were created all in one place.
It has been great! I use MIRO to work with my colleagues across office locations - remotely as well as in-person. It is great to be able to have everyone's work be in one place and not worry about version control. I have also introduced MIRO to other clients, and they love how intuitive it is (after some initial coaching on how to get set up).
