Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely

Optimizely is the platform of choice for product rollout and product development. We work closely with the sales department to improve the digital experience for prospective clients. With analytics and digital UX tools, we identify potential UX issues or missed opportunities, hypothesize a solution, and then build the proposed solution in Optimizely. We use Optimizely to build and present experiments, and then decide whether to push to production through statistical review.
  • General business users can build experiments without coding.
  • Use of API.
  • It is important to remember that complex features and product rollouts require considerable effort.
  • Large scale experimentation management. Being able to look at the project at a high level of detail is a convenient methodology.
  • A snippet from Optimizely increases the loading time of a page.
  • Allows for quicker decision making.
It's all you need to design, install, analyze and measure simple tests with Optimizely. When test complexity increases, it becomes necessary to integrate third party analytics tools to perform more detailed analysis such as additional details like page views, average time spent on each page, and bounce rates by variation. Optimizely has very straightforward integrations, so integration with analytics is straightforward.
Optimizely is super easy to use with a nice, simple interface. There are several helpful training programs and articles. The technical support is actually super helpful.
Great for making quick changes to existing issues on site. However, I do not believe the platform should be used for this purpose for too long. Optimization software helps business users share ideas, collaborate, and prioritize testing efficiently with Optimizely’s program management tool.
Optimizely was just easier to use than the other tools we looked at.

It's great if you want to test something quickly with a third-party script on your page. Quick visual fixes are also great when deployments are not possible.

However, it's not great when you want to measure site performance.
