Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use it mainly for HR and payroll. We also use the Time and Labor function. The main problem it addressed for us was to put more of our functions in the same basket. We can onboard our employees, have them punch in/out, run payroll, look up prior data, all within Paylocity

Pros

  • Updating their product
  • Flexibility
  • Having a comprehensive package

Cons

  • Implementation for our OT services took way too long
  • Some trouble shooting can take a long time to get right
  • Creating my own reports seems a little tricky
  • reduced time spent on payroll
  • reduced errors on payroll
  • reduced questions on payroll
The scheduling module doesn't work out for us as ours is too fluid. However time tracking and payroll are much more fluid. I mainly use the payroll functions so I can't attest to how that affects talent acquisition and retention. I can say it frees up my time to spend on other company projects.
We have not used these as of yet. We are looking into using all of it more.
The others all did something well, but couldn't quite put everything we needed in one package. Paylocity was able to put everything we needed in one package.

We went through 3 other payroll companies before we tried Paylocity. All said they could handle our unique situations, but none could. It took Paylocity a little bit, but they were able to make it work for us. Their service team is usually fast and knowledgeable to resolve most issues. The trickier issues may take a little bit, but they keep working at it until it is resolved
