Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity as our HRIS system and Payroll Function. We originally got Paylocity to help us bring all things related to HR and Payroll under one umbrella. In my opinion, Paylocity is very difficult to learn and our onboarding experience was terrible 11 months later from the initial setup and we are still having issues. I believe that Paylocity seems to be a great solution on paper but when you actually start using it, you quickly discover that it is built terribly, it is not user-friendly, they provide very little support on the payroll tax side of things, the system itself is very buggy and makes mistakes that then, in my experience, Paylocity seems to blame us as the customer for the mistakes and tries to charge us to fix them.

I believe Paylocity is far from automation. During our experience, having Paylocity has cost us so much time and money because of all of the problems we keep on having with them. I feel like they are super slow at responding to issues, love to make mistakes, and I feel like they blame us for the mistakes and try to charge us additional fees for their mistakes, and I believe overall they have very poor communication.
In my opinion, what Paylocity offers is not good so we will continue to use a third-party solution.
Paylocity is a more-in-one solution but we are not happy with its offerings and have found ourselves using more 3rd party solutions because Paylocity's solutions are just okay.

In my opinion, Paylocity is great if you want to have more payroll problems and issues with various state tax entities. During our experience with Paylocity, it has created such a mess for us and is not very helpful in getting things cleaned up. In my opinion, they are VERY SLOW at responding to any issues you may have. Sometimes I feel like a month goes by before you hear back with no updates provided between the first email I sent to finally hearing back from Paylocity. I believe that Paylocity is not for growing companies especially ones that are growing in many states. I found that it is a pain to get payroll tax information handled, most issues are not resolved for over 40 business days which is so slow. I feel like Paylocity is great at blaming the customer for mistakes that the system made and then trying to charge us additional fees to get them fixed. I think the customer support is terrible and in our experience, we get a new account manager about every 2 months so we can never establish a relationship with anyone to truly help us with the mistakes.
