Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Flexible Spending, Performance and COBRA. Keeping digital records so we don't have to print volumes of paper. Employees have access to their data. They can elect their own benefits, manage their accounts, enter their time worked, time off requests.
  • They will let you know if something is going to take awhile to resolve
  • They provide training necessary
  • They direct you to the tool that walks you through a process
  • PTO reporting and balances could improve - would like to see current, up to date balances.
  • Some reporting could be more intuitive. I.E., When selecting parameters, it isn't easy to determine what you need.
  • It can be difficult to find specific information because the tabs/screens don't always make sense or make it easy to find what you are looking for.
  • Reduced payroll errors
  • Efficient benefit processing for open enrollment
  • Communication to employees on deadlines
I still spend a lot of time looking at paid time off balances because everyone questions them. For the most part, the automation is good. Payroll is easier to process because the time tracking is all there for you. Paylocity sends reminders at appropriate times.
We haven't used Surveys and premium video. We did use Community during COVID and that was great! Some employees recognize each other, which is great to see. But we don't utilize that section like we could.
I felt like Paylocity had more to offer and would be more intuitive for our employees at the time. I do like UKG's platform and have seriously considered it. Paylocity was levels above Paychex when I used that.

They are one of the top HR and Payroll providers in the US. They offer a full suite of modules and it is fairly easy to navigate. The one pain point for me is that I need to see current (real time) paid time off balances. It is a frustration to me and all of our employees. They always think their balance is wrong.

Using Paylocity

Paylocity is intuitive for the most part. There are a few areas that I click on more than once and it isn't the place I need to be, but I can usually find what I need quickly. The search feature is excellent. And, step by step instructions and videos make learning a breeze!
