Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
In our company, we use Paylocity every day. It's how our employees enter their time, how we run payroll, and manage our benefits. We also handle recruiting through Paylocity as well as onboarding and offboarding, and yearly document acknowledgments. Our year-end total compensation sheets are created and distributed through Paylocity. We have increase employee engagement tremendously through community. We have 120 employees spread out across 12 locations, so we aren't all communicating regularly with each other, but community helps create a team bond.
Pros
- Payroll- user friendly, flexible, and great support
- Listening to needs- constant updates to address issues
- PTO, Time off tracking, time card entry is all user friendly
- Account Management- Our current account manager, [...], is the BEST
- Earning and Deduction setup is simple
- Onboarding is flexible and efficient
- Automation
Cons
- Taxes- We have different tax issues or questions around taxes every year (which is normal- no one's fault) and we would like to be able to speak to someone on the tax team. Instead we have to create a support ticket and wait for a response.
- Training- You can definitely tell when a customer service rep or benefit rep are new because they (respectfully) have no idea what we're talking about most of the time and have to open a "ticket" that often times doesn't get resolved until we follow up. It's not their fault but I think new hire training should be better.
- Time savings- Paylocity has saved us so much time through automation such as with expenses- saves our Accounts Payable Specialist hours every week
- Reduced errors through consistent automated workflows
We have used Paylocity to automate so much our workload. Paylocity has saved us time and/or money with the following through automation.
-Policy acknowledgment and automatic reminders through workflows
-Automated onboarding saves hours of in-person paperwork
-Expenses saves our finance teams hours. Saves employees time by having to fill out reports

Paylocity community has made a huge impact. As I stated earlier in the survey, we have 120 employees spread out amongst 12 locations so it can be hard to create the team dynamic and promote a positive and fun work culture. Paylocity has helped us accomplish that.
Surveys have been so helpful to get employee feedback and suggestions on many different topics. We love that we can do anonymous surveys so get candid feedback.

Paylocity has so much more wrapped into them just a payroll and HR platform. We're able to do the majority of HR functions through Paylocity. Compared to other companies the Payroll and Pay run flexibility is so much greater and would keep us from even considering these other companies.
