Using Raiser's Edge NXT

1 - The ability to understand and connect with Blackbaud Support.
  • Easy, click through way for everyone in the organization to view database information.
  • This product is a great tool for employees who work from home. The products online capabilities allow these work from home employees to stay easily connected to the rest of the organization.
  • Detailed Reporting.
  • Mapping lists based off the list capabilities.
  • Sending URL's of constituent records to easily update key team members.
  • Creating unique dashboards to team leaders.
  • NXT is always introducing new capabilities, we will have to see what tools they implement next.
  • Email campaigns.
  • Scheduled reporting graphics.
  • Allows the organization to remain efficient.
  • Has amazing ability for many users to be all on the same page.
  • Event seating and tracking.

NXT is being used to launch database access to employees worldwide in global offices.
  • Ability to hyperlink constituents.
  • Mapping constituents by address.
  • Save and send lists.
  • Batch gift data entry.
  • Running lists by gift attributes.
  • The ability to do everything in NXT that can be done in RE.

Yes, the quick availability and reporting from NXT has allowed for our major gift officers to become more connected to our higher level donors.
Yes, we are able to easily launch NXT to different offices worldwide that all focuses on increasing donations from excising donors.
Raiser's Edge is the stepping stone product for me. Using this has allowed me and my company to access all other programs.
High level directors being able to have a quick view of donor data. This is a great way for major gift officers to get quick and on the go info.

I was unsure how to run a correct list based on the filter tabs, the support team was able to walk me through the issue on the phone.

Using Raiser's Edge NXT

I gave it a rating of 8, because while it is an amazing user interface, it lacks some detail reporting that most nonprofits need. However the system is providing new and better capabilities every day.

  • The ability for people to run lists on gifts, actions and constituents.
  • Send and receive URL links to other team members, other team members are then able to open the URL and it will brink them directly to the gift or constituent record.
  • Run donor lists by geographic area simply by highlighting a map.
  • Not able to run lists based on specific or unique appeal codes.
  • Not able to run as detailed lists as you could through a RE classic export.
  • Individuals who do not use Blackbaud products a lot often get confused on how to login to access NXT.
